What is the name of the brightest star in the west in spring and summer?

If it's the west, and it's very low, it should be Venus. I have a starry night I simulated it, and it did. But it's not due west, just a little south.

Venus is not due west all year round.

Vega is directly above, relatively bright, but not the brightest. It is usually clearest in midsummer, and it forms a triangle with Altair and Tianjin and is bright. Sirius is indeed the brightest, but due south, it is slightly higher.
