1962 graduated from Peking University Department of Geophysics, majoring in space physics. At present, he is an international cooperative scientist in the ClusterII constellation project of ESA, the editor-in-chief of Space Science Review [1], the director of China Space Science Society, the editor-in-chief of Space Science Journal, and the former deputy editor-in-chief of J. Geophys.Res in the United States (2006-2009)[2].
