China is a popular folk wizard, which has existed since ancient times. For example, during the Warring States Period, there was a story of "Ximen Bao ruling over its power". Later, the "shaman" activities of northern minorities became folk "jumping gods", and their employees were called "witches" and "gods" by men.
In the old society (before 1949), "dancing gods" were very powerful. Witches are almost the family occupations of some middle-aged women, and many of them are "gods". They wore crowns, robes and props, and performed a "ceremony" with great fanfare. After liberation, especially during the "Cultural Revolution", these people suffered a great blow and were forced to abandon evil and do good, and turned to legitimate labor. However, there are still very few people who secretly carry out "underground activities."
In contemporary society, science is prosperous and culture is developed, and people's consciousness is generally improved. However, in some rural areas and county-level cities near rural areas, there are still many people engaged in such superstitious activities, and many people are very confused, including ordinary public officials in some enterprises and institutions.
Now these "big immortals" are called "big immortals" by the people, and some of them usually have a normal business. Only when they are visited and asked, do they quietly "ask God to ask immortals" and "show the way" to those who come to ask questions.
So, what method is "Jumping God" still using today?
The most common way of "jumping" is "watching incense". The mage sat cross-legged, with offerings such as "flowers and fruits" on the table in front of him (of course, the questioner paid a high price) and a big incense burner or barrel full of incense. At this time, the wizard gritted his teeth, closed his eyes slightly, crossed his hands, twisted his arms, his whole body joints rang wildly, his lips trembled, and he mumbled something. Then his eyes opened slightly, as if he were singing, saying that this was a "guide" from the possession of the Great Immortal.
When the wizard "descended from the gods", someone should answer and ask something like "I don't know which great god descended from the hillside". At this time, the "big immortals" will declare themselves, and most of them are possessed by "fox immortals" and "snake immortals". In addition, there are "Master Roshi" and "Huang Xian" (that is, weasels, by contrast, have the lowest Tao), all of which have "Tao number" or "Dhamma name", saying that they are in a certain mountain and a certain hole.
Of course, when a wizard "shows the way" to others, it is not always such a formal "grand" scene. Sometimes he just stares blankly for a while, and then he can say something to the questioner.
The wizard's advice to seekers has many problems. The main contents include: seeing a doctor, breaking the disaster, reading divination, approving eight characters, seeing the room of yin and yang, casting spells, going down to the town, crossing the yin, establishing a family fairy, praying for Buddha and so on.
Seeing a doctor is the most common thing. Some wizards are familiar with medical methods and often divide patients' diseases into "real diseases" and "virtual diseases". The so-called "real disease" refers to the existence of real physiological patients in patients. At this time, the guide will wisely let the patient go to a regular hospital so as not to delay the treatment. The so-called "deficiency syndrome" refers to incurable diseases, especially mental symptoms such as psychological disorders or delusions. At this time, the wizard has a lot of things to do, and any "evil spirits" and "ghost bumps" will come. As long as the patient is willing to spend money, Daxian is also willing to contribute.
