Why do newly-built houses form splayed cracks at the corner of the window sill?

The splayed cracks in the windowsill of the new house (as shown below) are caused by foundation settlement, foundation instability, slope sliding or earthquake.

There are several situations in which cracks appear in the wall:

1, the wall with large settlement in the middle produces regular splayed cracks.

2. The wall with large settlement at both ends produces inverted splay cracks.

Solution: deal with the building foundation and increase the ground beam.
