Buddhists should not believe in fate and look at Feng Shui
Pay attention to cause and effect and virtue
Excerpted from "A Brief Interpretation of Buddhist Sutras"
◎ Master Xuanhua tells the story
In the ashram, don’t talk about fate or make mistakes. We Buddhists should not believe in fate. This fate is what ordinary people believe in. But we Buddhists should go beyond fate and beyond numbers, so we should not believe in fate, and we should not be obsessed with money. For example, if you go to Reno and win a lot of money by gambling, you only take two dollars with you when you take the bus to that place, and you come back with hundreds of thousands. You can't do this, it's called speculation. We practitioners and Buddhists should not learn all those speculative methods, nor should we all talk about how we can get rich quickly and how much money we can make!
It is important for those who practice Taoism and believe in Buddhism to let nature develop and not engage in speculative behavior. So don’t talk about fate and don’t believe in Feng Shui. This doesn’t mean that I am against Teacher Xia’s teaching of Feng Shui. Why don’t I teach people this? Because once I teach this, people become even more obsessed and turn everyone into money fans. This one also depends on Feng Shui, and that one also depends on Feng Shui. At night Just can't sleep. "When I buy that house, I should ask Teacher Xia to take a look at it. Maybe I will make the sale in a year or two. When I make the sale, I will repay Teacher Xia." When you think about it, your hair will turn gray. You have lost your eyesight, lost your teeth, and your ears are deaf, but you haven’t gotten rich yet. This is pitiful, so don’t be like this. If we should get rich, we will get rich sooner or later; if we shouldn't get rich, we will get it by force and lose it.
As the saying goes, "To make tofu, place it in the river depression. Where it came from the pulp, it went away from the water." Just like making tofu, you have to press the tofu. When the money came and they made money, they set up land in the river depressions and bought land on the seaside and riverside. But what happens when the water rises? All the land sown has been washed away, and nothing can be harvested. This means that we humans must pay attention to cause and effect, pay special attention to cause and effect, and not be so obsessed. It is not good to be too obsessed. Therefore, we Buddhists must accept our fate and be content. As for my destiny, if I should get rich, I will get rich; if I shouldn't get rich, I don't want to be a bandit or rob banks. This won't work.
We Buddhists should not let go of money and think about how to get rich during the day! At night I also think about how I want to be an official! It’s not okay to think about these problems all the time. Therefore, in the future, people who study Buddhism and study Buddhism should not ask this person to do their horoscopes today, ask that person to do their horoscopes tomorrow, and ask that person to do Feng Shui the day after tomorrow. Don't be like this. If you are really virtuous, everything will be fine. If you don't have virtue, criticizing eight characters or nine characters will be useless, and you won't make mistakes if you criticize nine characters. The same is true when looking at Feng Shui. If you don't have virtue, even if you have good things, you won't be able to stand it and you won't get it, because you don't have virtue and you can't hold it. Why do these people appear? There are horoscope tellers, fortune tellers, and feng shui readers. This is a test for you, a face-to-face test to see if you encounter this state, whether you are tempted or not, are you still a money addict? Did you follow the money as soon as you heard about getting rich? See if you have the determination.
Everything is a test, let’s see what you do.
If you don’t understand the situation, you have to practice it all over again.
