Yan Shu (99 1- 1055), a famous poet and essayist, was born in Linchuan, Fuzhou, Northern Song Dynasty. He left a well-known poem "Huanxisha". The word "hate in spring", in which the phrase "I can't help spending, I feel familiar with Yan's return" has been passed down through the ages. He founded Xixi Academy in Xixi, and called the next river Yanxi River, which has not changed.
Lv Yijian (978- 1044), born in Shouzhou (now Fengtai, Anhui), Tanfu, Han nationality. A famous politician in Song Dynasty. After Yan Shu left Xixi, his successor was Lv Yijian, who later served as prime minister. Lv Yijian left Xixi with Peony Pavilion and Peony Pavilion. He planted more than a dozen peonies in Xixi, with different varieties. Lv Yijian couldn't help looking at the flowers in the sun and the moon. He wrote a poem "Ode to Peony": "How to cultivate along the coast?" You should hate driving the east wind. Who should move into Wuhou's house? After Lv Yijian left office, Xixi people built a peony pavilion where he planted peony to show his memory. After Lv Yijian paid homage to the Prime Minister, people built a memorial hall in the southeast of Xixi.
Fan Zhongyan (989- 1052), a native of Wenqian, Han nationality, was a famous politician, thinker, strategist, writer and educator in the Northern Song Dynasty, and was known as the "Duke of Fan Wenzheng". In the fifth year of Tianxi (102 1), Fan Zhongyan was transferred to Xixi Town, Hailing, Taizhou (now near Dongtai County, Jiangsu Province) as a salt warehouse supervisor, responsible for supervising the storage, transportation and resale of Huai salt. Fan Zhongyan had just turned 34 when he went to Xixi to be a salt warehouse supervisor. He wrote a poem about Xixi: "Who says Xixi is small, Xixi is talented, and the second prime minister knows." Expressed his ambition to make contributions. He presided over the construction of the eight-character bridge (Tongji Bridge in the east, Guangji Bridge in the south and Guangji Bridge in the north), which solved the traffic problems of Xixi people on the two rivers and three banks. Xixi splayed bridge is a treasure of ancient bridges in China, with ingenious conception and exquisite setting. It has the reputation of two bridges in one step and two bridges connecting three banks, which was built 100 years earlier than the splayed bridge in Jiaxing and the double bridge in Kunshan respectively. Fan Zhongyan is talented, and his works in Xixi mainly include Yan Xi's Gull Training, Laughing at Xixi, Xixi Holy Orchard's Korean Drum Poetry, Lv Yijian Peony Poetry, etc. Each poem has a beautiful story. Fan Zhongyan's monument in northern Jiangsu is Shouhai weir, and now it is Fan Gongdi. In Xixi, Fan Zhongyan put forward the suggestion of repairing and guarding the seawall. After the court adopted it, he was appointed as Xinghua Order and "served as a general". Tiansheng was four years old and left his job because of his mother's death. When he left, he left a book, suggesting to continue to repair the seawall and restore its benefits. Song Renzong appointed Zhang Lun as the magistrate of Taizhou, and the prefect led soldiers to build seawalls in Tongtaihai three states. Fan Zhongyan said in Zhang Houzong Ancestral Hall: Since then, the project has been "completed from the autumn of the fifth year of Tiansheng (1027) to the spring of the sixth year (1028)". The success of "Gong Fandi" cannot be separated from the contributions of three people: "Gong Fan advocated and the two (Zhang Lun and Hu Lingyi) reconciled." Fan Zhongyan initiated this dike and was in charge of it. Later, his achievements and status far surpassed those of Zhang and Hu, hence the name "".
