The Second Northern Expedition of Loyalty to the Country

Before Yue Fei's second Northern Expedition in the sixth year of Shaoxing (1136), two things influenced his layout.

first, eye diseases. Since the establishment of the Yue Family Army in 113, Yue Fei has been fighting bandits in summer and resisting gold and puppet troops in winter for six consecutive years. Especially in summer, fighting in the hot and humid climate in the south is not suitable for Yue Fei, a Hebei native. In the summer and June of the fifth year of Shaoxing (1135), after Yang Yao was pacified, Yue Fei's illness became worse,' his eyes were red and faint, he couldn't eat' and' his limbs were abandoned', so that he had to play a plea to relieve his military affairs and recuperate. At that time, Song Gaozong was inclined to the main battle, and rejected Yue Fei's application. Instead, he said that Yue Fei' handled high-class affairs with heavy responsibilities', and he should be loyal to Li Zhong's anger, snow the country's accumulated shame, encourage me to help make a great honor'. After treatment, in autumn and winter, Yue Fei's eye diseases improved.

Second, Yao's mother-in-law died in Shaoxing on March 26th, 26. Yue Fei is a famous dutiful son in history. When he is with his mother, he always waits on him all day, and personally changes his medicine and clothes in every possible way. After Yao's death, Yue Fei, Yue Yun and others held his coffin and walked barefoot to Lushan Mountain in Jiangzhou. After the funeral, Yue Fei stayed in Torinji to be filial to his mother. According to the ancient etiquette, Yue Fei had to "worry" for three years, and only under special circumstances could he "recover", that is, stay in official mourning. Yue Fei insisted on etiquette, but the Manchu dynasty was unanimously opposed. Song Gaozong ordered the eunuch Deng Cong to go to Torinji to ask Yue Fei to reply. Yue Fei' wanted to give thanks with failure', but Deng Cong insisted on not allowing it, but Yue Fei' couldn't afford three letters'. Finally, Song Gaozong issued a severe warning to Yue Fei and his subordinates, saying that Yue Fei "has not yet received the life of complex grace, and it is obvious that he is an official and so on, which is not a request of the country", and that "if he delays according to the former, he will be excused again, and his official and so on will run away". Li Gang, the hawk faction, also wrote to Yue Fei alone, saying,' Xuanfu Shaobao is gifted by nature, filial piety is extremely neglected, and he holds a mourning shirt', and earnestly hopes that he will not' waste justice with personal kindness' and' rise abruptly, always take the road, build an immortal legacy, and help the cause of ZTE'. Yue Fei finally made up his mind to give up etiquette. After returning to Ezhou, he led his troops to guard Xiang Han, and at the same time, he made Yao's "carving wood as an image, and doing the ceremony of saving the province as if he were born". Zhang Jun, the prime minister of the main war faction, served as a teacher at the front line from the first month of the sixth year of Shaoxing (1136). Yue Fei, Han Shizhong, Liu Guangshi and Zhang Jun, the four generals of ZTE, were all called to the governor's office in Zhenjiang to discuss military affairs. Zhang Jun praised Song Gaozong for Han Shizhong's bravery and Yue Fei's efforts to do great things. In March, Song Ting appointed Han Shizhong as Xuanfu's envoy for JD.COM and Huaidong Road, Yue Fei as Xuanfu's deputy envoy for Jinghu Road and Jingxi Road, and moved the town to Vu Thang and appointed our national army. The military meeting of the DuDu Hangfu decided that Han Shizhong Chengzhou and Chuzhou would send troops to attack the Huaiyang Army on JD.COM East Road (now southwest of Pizhou City, Jiangsu Province), Yue Fei would set off from Ezhou to Xiangyang House and then the Northern Expedition, Zhang Jun would set off from Jiankang House to Sizhou, Liu Guangshi would set off from Taiping State to Luzhou, and Yang Yizhong's Qiandian Division would be the backup of his old boss, Zhang Junyi Army. Han Shizhong and Yue Fei attack, while Zhang Jun and Liu Guangshi defend.

In mid-February, Han Shizhong launched an offensive, but Yue Fei was still in Lin 'an Prefecture to see Song Gaozong, so he could not cooperate. Han Shizhong defeated the puppet Qi Shoujun in Suqian County (now Suqian City, Jiangsu Province) of Huaiyang Army and besieged the city of Huaiyang Army. But six days later, the puppet troops arrived and Han Shizhong was forced to retreat.

At that time, Wang Yan was seriously ill, and his "Eight-character Army" was stationed in Jingnan Prefecture, adjacent to the defense area of Yue Jiajun. In February, Zhao Ding, left, and Zhang Jun, right, decided to move the "Eight-character Army" to Xiangyang House, and Wang Yan became the magistrate of Xiangyang House and the peace envoy of Beijing Southwest Road, and Yue Fei controlled it. So that once Wang Yan died, the "eight-character army" was merged into Yue Jiajun. However, Wang Yan refused to accept the appointment because of the past events, and his health improved again. Song Ting then transferred the "Eight-character Army" to Lin 'an Prefecture. In this way, Yue Jiajun did not strengthen his military strength, but instead took over the scattered forces of the Jingnan government sector of the "Eight-character Army".

In July and August, Yue Fei sent troops again, taking Li Tong, the magistrate of Luanchuan County, the former puppet state, who had just surrendered in the spring, as the guide for the second northern expedition. Niu Hao, the pioneer of the left army, quickly captured Rujun, a pseudo-Qi town near Lushan County, Ruzhou, his hometown, and captured the garrison commander Xue Heng alive. In November, Xue Heng was escorted to Lin 'an House by Li Rexu, a member of the Yuegujun Senate, and Song Gaozong ordered him to make meritorious service in Yuegujun. As a result, more than 2 years later, he still served in Ezhou Army. Niu Hao continued to attack most of Yingchang Mansion and feint near Cai Zhou. Yue Fei led the main force to attack northwest. At the beginning of August, Wang Gui, Dong Xian, Hao Jian, etc. captured Lushi County in Guozhou and seized 15 mangoku grain. Yue Jiajun immediately captured Bilue County (now lingbao city, Henan Province), Zhuyang County (now Zhuyang Town, southwest of lingbao city, Henan Province) and Luanchuan County, where Li Tong was an official. Wang Gui continued to conquer the whole territory of Shangzhou westward, including Shangluo County (now Shangzhou City, Shaanxi Province), Shangluo County (now Shangluo Town, southeast of Shangzhou City, Shaanxi Province), Luonan County, Fengyang County (now Shanyang County, Shaanxi Province) and Shangjin County (now northwest of Yunxi County, Hubei Province).

Shangzhou and Guozhou belong to Shaanxi Road, which is the war zone of Wu Jun.. Wu Jun's Ministry Shao Long (formerly named Shao Xing, renamed to avoid the taboo of Shaoxing, Song Gaozong) has already played to recover these two places, and has been appointed as Shangzhou Zhizhou by Song Ting. After Yue Fei conquered Shangzhou, he urged Shao Long to go to his post as soon as possible, so as to make room for Yue Jiajun's troops to continue their campaign.

yue jiajun continued to capture the pseudo-qishunzhou and the state ruled Yiyang county. On August 13th, the puppet pacification department of Qishunzhou controlled Sun Mou and the post-military system, and fought against Yang Zaixing, the expert of Yuegujun, in Changshui County, and was defeated. More than 5 people, including Sun Mou, were beheaded, and more than 1 people were captured alive. On 14th, Yang Zaixing defeated more than 2, people of Zhang, the ambassador of the pseudo-Qi Shunzhou. On the night of 15th, Yue Jiajun seized Changshui County, seized 2, grains, and seized a pseudo-horse supervisor, with 1, horses. Then two other counties in Shunzhou, Yongning County and Fuchang County, were also conquered. After receiving Yue Fei's good news, Li Gang wrote:' It is unprecedented for more than ten years to carry on the transfer of words repeatedly and show the good news, and it is gratifying to make good use of it.'

but at this time, fighting in the mountainous area near Shaanxi, the logistics supply line is too long, resulting in insufficient food and grass. Yue Fei had to move troops, leaving Wang Gui and others to guard. However, the whole territory of Shangzhou and some parts of Guozhou were controlled by the Southern Song Dynasty. Shao Long went to Shangzhou as the year-end magistrate, and gradually built Shangzhou into a fortress and a logistics base for the next attack.

In late September, Yue Fei returned to Ezhou and suffered another severe eye disease. During the day, even the bedroom windows had to be completely blocked. After Song Ting heard the news, Huangfu Zhichang, a special ophthalmologist, and the monks, China and India, raced to Ezhou to treat Yue Fei, only to get better.

Yue Fei's ambition was not rewarded in this Northern Expedition, and he wrote "Manjiang Red" in Wuchang.

Angry hair rushes to the crown,

On the railing,

It's raining.

look up,

scream at the sky,

be strong and pregnant.

3 fame, dust and soil,

8, miles of clouds and the moon.

Don't be idle, turn a blind eye to a teenager's head, and

be empty and sad.

Jing Kang is ashamed, but it is still snow;

courtiers hate,

when will it die!

drive a long car and break through the lack of Helan Mountain.

Hungry for pork,

Laughing and thirsty for Hun blood.

stay from the beginning, clean up the old mountains and rivers, and go to the sky.
