How to weave a basket with packing tape

Use packaging tape to braid basket hair as follows:

1. Prepare the braiding tape. This is the packaging tape that came with the washing machine when I bought it.

2. Use scissors to cut 4 pieces of the packaging tape to the same length. The length will be determined according to the size of the basket to be made. Leave a long piece for looping, cut it in half and then in half again. Cut it thinly.

3. Fold four packaging tapes of the same length in half, and then mark them with a marker. Because this tape is relatively hard and will return to its original shape soon, use a marker to mark the position for convenience; then The four braided straps are criss-crossed in a figure-eight shape and fixed in the middle with thumbtacks. I put it on the table to fix it, otherwise it will loosen.

4. After it is fixed, use the very long and thin braided tape in step 2 to start winding it, one on the inside and one on the outside, so that it crosses over, like in the picture.

5. After reaching the required height, leave a little length for finishing.

6. Turn the finishing part of the braid from the outside and insert it into the horizontal braid along the vertical braid, so that it can be finished. It looks like this from the inside.

7. You can add a strap for hanging. Use another thin woven strap that was halved and then halved in step 2. Refer to step 6 for the method. Just insert the thin woven strap.
