Does the blood moon really mean bad omen?
In ancient times, this astronomical phenomenon was regarded as an ominous sign. The ancient books of China Taoist School say that human health is weak and evil. When we go to the Indian Institute of Buddhism and Humanities to check the history books, we can also find such records in Nanqi Book, one of the twenty-four histories. On April 14th of the first year of Yongtai, Ming Di, Wang Jingze, Afu and Confucianism rebelled in the same year. 1644, Emperor Chongzhen hanged himself like a mountain. 1863, after the Qing army surrounded the Taiping Army in the Dadu River area of Sichuan, Tianjin, the capital city, was captured by the Qing army, and Hong Xiuquan's Taiping Heavenly Kingdom perished, and there was also a blood moon that year. Before and after the modern 19 1 1 Wuchang uprising, there was a blood moon on the eve of the Wenchuan earthquake in 2008. So is this phenomenon an accidental coincidence or is there really some mysterious connection?
What did the blood moon mean in ancient times?
In ancient times, there was a saying that the moon changed color and there was disaster. For example, the sword of the blood moon was demon fairy. Red represents blood and struggle, such as foreign invasion or domestic mutiny, while cyan represents hunger. If the moon is blue, it means there is famine in some places, white means drought, and black means plague. It is worth noting that if the moon is yellow, it means impatience, virtue and happiness, and reunion. There is a special position called Si or Qin, who is in charge of astronomical calendar and weather. Of course, this is an ancient superstition.
How is the blood moon formed?
Now, from a scientific point of view, how did the red moon come from? The red moon is a spectacle that only occurs during an eclipse. When the earth is in the middle and the sun and the moon are on both sides, if the earth blocks part of the sunlight for the moon, it is called a partial eclipse in which the moon blocks all the sunlight, which is called a total lunar eclipse. The sun shines into the earth, and the thick atmosphere absorbs all the purple, blue, green and yellow light, only reflecting red light, so the moon looks red. However, during the total lunar eclipse, although the earth blocked all the sunlight, both the total lunar eclipse and the blood moon occurred in the period when the moon was closest to the earth, that is, the super red moon. Therefore, this opportunity is really hard to get.
