It rained after pollination of potted gourd. How to remedy it?

In fact, all kinds of gourds are planted in the same way, such as sub-gourds, hand-twisted gourds, Brewmaster gourds and oversized gourds. Let me give a brief introduction based on my planting experience.

Gourd cultivation is divided into gourd cultivation, potted gourd cultivation and soilless gourd cultivation. But no matter what kind of gourd is planted, it is inseparable from the basic procedures such as seed, fertilization, coring, pest control and fruit picking. In recent years, Wan Wen gourd is very popular, and now many friends like to twist the gourd by hand, which is small and lovely. When it comes to twisting the gourd, friends will think of nothing more than "gold in the grass" and "iron-clad gold" Many friends bought the seeds of "Golden Grass", but I didn't expect the small gourd to grow so small. Actually, it is not. A hand-twisted gourd can bear forty or fifty fruits, and there are two or three fruits about three centimeters. Generally about five or six centimeters. There are gold seeds in the grass because they are really taken out from the golden gourd in the grass. In addition, the seeds you buy must ensure that there is gold in the grass. So it is impossible to meet the best, and the iron-clad gold is generally around 4 cm.

Moreover, the germination rate of small gourd is generally low, and the seed skin of small gourd is hard, so we should pay attention to the skills of accelerating germination. In addition, the smaller the gourd, the more difficult it is to germinate.

Let me briefly talk about the three steps of accelerating germination of gourd seeds summarized by myself:

First, when sowing, if you cut a small gap at the tip of the seed with pliers or nail clippers, it is easier to germinate. Be careful not to destroy the inside, only the outer shell. It is said that seeds have power, but in order to germinate as soon as possible, it is necessary to cut the mouth and let it arch naturally.

2. Soak the seeds in water with the temperature not exceeding 40 degrees for 8 hours to 12 hours. First, wrap the seeds in a coarse cloth like a wet towel, and then the temperature is 25 ~ 30 degrees. An electric blanket or a quilt will do. Gourd seeds usually germinate in 7 ~ 10 days. When the bud length is about 0.5 ~ 1 cm, they are transplanted into seedbeds and cultivated with soil.

Third, choose soft soil. Conditional friends or novices had better use seedling blocks, put the seeds flat and tidy, and cultivate them with 1cm soil (when using seedling blocks, first soak the seedling blocks so that there is no water in the seedling box, then poke a hole, put the germinated gourd seeds in, and then cover them). Water it. Keep it in the shade for half a day, put it in the sun and cover it with newspaper to prevent the sun and rain, and keep the soil moist until the seeds germinate.

Generally, the germination rate of big gourd is about 80%, and that of small gourd is between 50% and 80%. Therefore, when raising seedlings, it is appropriate to raise more seedlings.

(A) pot gourd technique

The size of the flowerpot should be moderate. Choose fertile soil before potted plants, use loose acidic soil and mix with soil and miscellaneous fertilizers. Alkaline soil and hardened soil are not available. The soil should have good ventilation and drainage performance. Personally, I suggest that general soil and nursery soil should be mixed in the ratio of 1:5 or 2:5. Or directly use peat soil, the effect is better.

If the culture soil contains no fertilizer, a pot should be equipped with about 50 grams of water-soluble fertilizer or 100 grams of organic fertilizer as the base fertilizer. Potted gourds are very easy to dry up, so they need to be watered once a day when the vines begin to spread. In hot summer, you should water your back twice a day. Four pillars are supported and fixed on the flowerpot, 50㎝ higher than the surface of the flowerpot, and made into a 90-degree grid trellis. When the mother vine grows to 4-5 leaves, pinch the vine, leaving 2 roots to spread upward. When climbing to the top of the shed, you should pinch the vine and let its two grandchildren extend upward. When Sun Man grows to five branches and leaves, he begins to pinch the tip, so that the fruit will bear from Sun Man's great-grandson vine. Let the vines grow at will and pinch them off when they grow outside the shed. It is very important to apply fertilizer once when the fruit grows to 5-6 grains. Of course, you can put on airs based on local materials, and you don't have to put on airs like this. You can give full play to your imagination. Balcony and guardrail in security window allow gourds to climb up. Ha ha.

Simply put, it is the key to cultivate strong seedlings before bearing fruit. First, topdressing should be timely. It is better to ferment sesame sauce residue and bean cake during the growth period, and it can be diluted and added with water at the same time. Phosphorus and potassium fertilizer should be applied in bud stage to improve fruit setting rate and fruit quality. The second is drying seedlings. The optimum temperature for the growth of gourd is about 30℃. It likes to bask in the sun, so it is necessary to bask in the sun as much as possible. At noon in hot summer, it is best not to burn leaves and wither, so as to cultivate strong seedlings and control crazy growth. When the vine grows to about 1 m high, top it from the third to fourth leaves at the root. Because the hand-twisted gourd has the habit of knotting side branches, this can make the side branches at the bottom grow and bear fruit early, reduce the height of the bracket and facilitate viewing. Generally, when the lateral branches grow, there are 3 ~ 4 leaves to expose buds, and the female buds are shaped like two overlapping balls. If there is no bud, it is a slider. Slippery strips grow vigorously, and if they are not pinched off in time, they will take away the nutrients of the whole plant and make other fruit branches wither and shrink back, becoming dead buds. You can also top 3 ~ 4 leaves of the slider to make the slider become a fruiting branch.

Hand-twisted gourd is a cross-pollinated plant, and pollination at flowering stage is the key to fruit setting. Potted gourd must be artificially pollinated because of its small number, few bee sources and difficult flowering period. Gourd blooms every evening, and the best pollination time is before 10 the next morning. When pollinating, take pollen from male flowers with dry towels and cotton balls and immediately receive it in male and female stamens without delay. In case of rainy days, cover the male and female flowers with plastic bags in advance to avoid getting wet.

Especially the medium-sized gourd ladle, it doesn't bear fruit after it begins to bear 1-2 fruits. So the earliest female flowers were all pinched off. When making fruit, put 5-6 solid fertilizers in the flowerpot, and then water them with 200 times of water after the fertility disappears.

The main pest of gourd is aphid, and the control method is the same as that of field crops. A small bag of water is enough. Harmless to people and animals.
