Later, the popularity of mobile internet brought a great benefit to runners, that is, running doesn't have to be on the runway. The positioning software on the mobile phone can draw the running track, and you can know how far you have run wherever you go. There will also be a soft girl or a warm man in the software to remind you that "you have run for three kilometers, great!" . Therefore, there is another motivation for running, which is to record the track and brush the circle of friends-look, buddy, I am positive, don't I like it?
When I really decided to start running regularly, I was holding the first physical examination form since I joined the company and looking at the five characters "moderate fatty liver" on it. I vaguely remember that time, as if my clockwork had been wound several times, like beating chicken blood, and I was determined to keep healthy by running.
So, I began to participate in the fun running activities of the department every Wednesday night. This activity requires jogging five kilometers around the track. Although I used to run two or three kilometers, I think five kilometers should be a cinch. After work that day, I rushed to the playground of Beijing Medical University, turned on the music player and ran with the big team. The first three laps, like lightning speed, felt great. On the fourth lap, my calf was sore and my feet began to stiffen. On the fifth lap, the whole calf ached and began to fall behind. On the sixth lap, in order to maintain speed, breathing became heavy. On the seventh lap, the whole person was not well, and everyone on the runway felt that they had a grudge against themselves. Then ... I successfully ran from entry to giving up.
After that, I learned that running is also about warming up, and I can't add more at will. So, run at your own pace and add laps slowly. A month later, I can finally run five kilometers in one breath without falling behind. I feel confident again, and it seems that I can say goodbye to fatty liver soon. I heard that many runners around me are running marathons. I estimate that according to the current progress, it should be no problem to run a North Horse this year, so I set myself a "small goal" to challenge the marathon. At that time, I thought I could finish a marathon, just like doing a feat of superman flying into the fire to save a beautiful girl, and then my heart began to accelerate under the eyes of others worshiping me.
However, soon, I reached the bottleneck of training-the pace of six minutes per kilometer could not be broken. As long as it is fast, the rhythm of breathing will be chaotic and the pain in the calf will be aggravated. So in the next month, I stopped, and every time I ran to physical and mental exhaustion, my mood became extremely bad, and I was depressed because I couldn't make progress. At this time, a villain will appear in his mind and say to himself, "Why torture yourself and stop when you are tired?"
I began to reflect on my motivation to challenge the marathon. Some goals are the finish line, just like running a marathon. Everything is important before you arrive. The motivation to execute before arrival is directly proportional to the income afterwards and inversely proportional to the cost paid. Once you arrive, you will feel extremely empty. Why is it so familiar? Didn't I feel the same way after the college entrance examination many years ago? If the marathon is the end of running and all your efforts are just to show off, then you really don't have enough motivation to persist.
This problem has been bothering me for a long time. I didn't take part in the marathon that year because I was not qualified. For about half a year, I thought hard and gradually found the motivation to keep running, that is, to be a "professional" runner. If the "major" is separated, it roughly includes two elements-"persistence" and "challenging yourself". Imagine if you just want to stay healthy, then there is no need to pursue running faster and farther. Moreover, once you get rid of fatty liver, you are exhausted-you can't get hot. If it is to show off or maintain a good image in the eyes of others, then once the training cost is too high, there will be a lack of motivation. If it is for an end goal, it is a distant mountain. After all, the distant mountain is not the horizon, and it will arrive one day. After that, all efforts will stop. So the dead rabbit cooks the dog.
After finding a goal of continuous improvement, I still need to find out what is the driving force behind being a "professional" runner. For me, this question is not difficult to answer, because I want to be a "lifelong learner", which is the lowest value. Maybe you think this burden is a little too big. Actually, it's not grandiose at all. Imagine that a "lifelong learner" needs a healthy body to keep improving, and the longer he lives, the better. Running is good for health, right? Lifelong learning also needs good living habits and fighting spirit. Running can make people feel happy and positive. The most important thing is that "lifelong learners" must have one or two goals of lifelong progress and constant challenges, otherwise only labels will be left. Becoming a "professional" runner may be such a goal.
After thinking clearly, the whole person seems to have been ordered to be the second pulse of Ren Du, which is transparent. But back to now, we still need to solve the bottleneck problem of operation improvement little by little. Later, a big brother who insisted on running all the year round woke me up and said that my legs were "splayed" when I was running, and my running posture was ugly and my center of gravity was unstable. It suddenly dawned on me, could it be that there is something wrong with my running posture, which hinders my progress? I recorded my own running video and compared it with professional runners repeatedly, and found that there was something wrong. So when I run again, I will deliberately observe the movements of my legs and correct them once they go out of shape. The next month, a miracle appeared, and I could easily run ten kilometers at a pace of five and a half minutes. Although there will be an uncomfortable period in the middle, it is far less obvious and the leg pain is reduced.
During the next 20 16, I really felt the benefits of running. I lost nearly five kilograms, and the physical examination results turned into "mild fatty liver". After running, you are in good spirits all day. Dopamine secreted by the brain during running will make you excited for a while, which is more conducive to focusing on things. Moreover, because running fits the long-term goal of lifelong progress, the more you persist, the more energetic you will be and the more confident you will be in doing other things.
In May, I participated in my first half-horse race in Dalian seaside, which lasted for more than two hours and 30 minutes. In August, it took two hours and more than twenty minutes to participate in the half horse in Beijing Baili Gallery. I am very satisfied with this result because I was not good at physical education since I was a child.
Recently, I deeply feel that there is a qualitative difference between real long-distance running and short-distance jogging. Different from sprinting, long-distance running has a great test on a person's endurance. When challenging the marathon, you should prepare suitable running shoes instead of wearing a pair of sports shoes casually; You need to train leg muscles and core strength systematically, warm up before running and stretch after running; You need to adjust your diet to ensure that you don't run out of strength; You need to arrange physical distribution and supply intake throughout the game. And these are only basic requirements, and there is no guarantee of good results. In my limited experience of running half a horse, I have seen some friends running half a horse for the first time in their lives, and the speed of more than 20 kilometers has not decreased. They really have a talent for long-distance running. But after running, I don't even do basic stretching recovery, just sit in the shade and have a rest and chat. As we all know, if you want to take running as a lifelong sport, what you need to pay attention to most is your legs. Once the leg is damaged by overwork, it is extremely difficult to recover. Even if there is a powerful transmitter, it won't help if the bearing is broken.
I want to dedicate this limited personal experience to all those who want to take running seriously and make progress on the track together.
