Rules of table tennis duet

Table tennis doubles is a game in which two players from each side hit the ball in turn according to the rules. The competition methods and rules are basically the same as those in singles, but there are special rules in the order of serving, receiving and hitting the ball in doubles.

In the center of the table top of table tennis, there is a white line with a width of 3 mm, which is called the center line. The table top is divided into two and a half areas. In doubles, the right half is the service court (see figure). When serving, the ball must first fall to its own service court or center line, and then fall to the opponent's service court or center line, otherwise the server will be awarded points.

In doubles 1 match, the server must first determine 1 server, and the receiver can arbitrarily determine 1 receiver, and then exchange and receive the service in the prescribed order.

After that, the server that serves first in each game can arbitrarily determine 1 server, and the server that accepts the serve must be the server corresponding to 1 in the previous game. In the deciding game, the order of serving is unchanged, but the receiver has to exchange the order of the receiver. These regulations are based on the principle of equal opportunities for both sides of the competition.

Running skills of table tennis doubles;

1, "splayed foot" runs, and the right and left attacking players are paired. Commonly used transverse or oblique movement (commonly known as "figure-eight" type). Generally speaking, he will turn to the backhand position after hitting the ball. When two right-handed attackers are paired, the triangle movement method is often used.

2. "Circular motion", the pairing of two chippers generally adopts the method of lateral motion or circular motion. If there is a pair of near cut and far cut, the near cut mainly moves laterally, and the far cut mainly moves back and forth.

3. "T-shaped" running position, the attacker in the near stage is paired with the attacker in the middle stage (or loop ball), and the "T-shaped" moving mode is often adopted. The former moves left and right, while the latter moves back and forth. This way of moving is also suitable for attacking everything.
