How to calculate the lead consumption of floats?

Lead consumption refers to the buoyancy of the float.

It can be roughly considered as the level of the float and the weight of the submerged line group when the lead falls to the bottom (including fishing line, lead drop, splayed ring, hook, etc.). It is very beneficial to find out the lead consumption of the float. It is worth noting that the lead consumption and self-weight of the float are two concepts, and the relationship between them is roughly "lead consumption = buoyancy-self-weight".

The amount of lead eaten by the float should be flexibly selected according to the actual fish situation, water situation, season and other factors. For example, you can eat a little lead float when fishing in shallow water, still water, light-mouthed fish and smooth-mouthed fish, eat a little lead float when fishing in deep water, running water, raw-mouthed fish or when there are waves, and use a little lead float when fish are inactive, such as early spring, late autumn and winter.

Precautions:

1. Float is the "eye" for fishermen to observe the action of fish eating bait, but it is necessary to cooperate with the line group to accurately transmit the signal, otherwise it will bring a lot of trouble for fishermen to interpret the drift.

2. The amount of lead eaten by the float refers to the buoyancy that the float can provide. In general, the buoyancy of the float and the gravity of the line group should be equal, so that the fish feeding action can be accurately transmitted to the float.

3. No matter whether the float eats too much lead or too little, it is not conducive to fishing. For example, eating too much lead will reduce the sensitivity of the line group, and eating too little lead will affect the stability of the line group.
