4. Make empty fists with both hands, turn your palms upward, open your palms, palms upward, and flatten the backs of your palms to the ground. This is called the "head-face-foot-joining ceremony". When the head touches the ground, the "forehead" touches the ground, not the "top of the head".

7. Etiquette of worshiping the Buddha
It is not necessary to stand in the middle to worship the Buddha, but only to worship the Buddha reverently. You should know that the Buddha possesses the three clarifications, the six powers, the ten powers, the four fearlessnesses, and the eighteen invincible dharma. As long as sentient beings have thoughts, the Buddha will know them all. As long as they are sincere and respectful, any position is a good place.
No matter how many Buddhas are enshrined in the Buddhist hall, usually you can enter the hall and worship the Buddha three times; for personal practice, you must follow your wishes. If the crowd in the hall has gathered, you can just stand with the crowd, put your palms together and ask questions, but not Worship in person, so as not to disturb the order of the public and not be dignified.
When praying to Buddha, you should slowly bow down and stand up slowly, one movement after another, very clear and natural, the movements should be slower, easier and softer, and you should experience every movement of worshiping easily and slowly. , as well as the feeling of the movements, do not make the movements of worshiping Buddha rapid and tense. Otherwise, if you pray too quickly, you will be flustered, busy, anxious, and chaotic, and you will lose your peace and stability.
When worshiping Buddha, your forehead should be on the ground, your back should be kept straight, your body should be soft, and even the ground it touches should be soft and cool. After bowing down, use your heart to experience your two palms. After standing up, experience the movements and feelings of your hands and feet.
When worshiping the Buddha, you must respect the Three Jewels in your heart, such as reciting the Buddha's praise verse in the first salutation; reciting the opening verse of the sutra in the second salutation; and reciting the Sangha Bao Bu Si Wei in the third worship. Or you can recite all the Buddhas, Dharmas, Sangha, etc. in the three times of the ten directions of the endless space in the first place of worship. You can also recite the Buddha Sakyamuni Buddha, the master of Namo, during the three times of worship. The main purpose of worshiping the Buddha is to sincerely respect the Buddha. Therefore, the practice of visualization or chanting depends on personal practice and there is no fixed rule.
When worshiping Buddha, do not move your feet to avoid stepping on Hai Qing. When praying, you should place your buttocks on your feet and do not raise them. This is in line with etiquette. If your movements are neither slow nor hasty, your mind should be pious, and your expression should be respectful, you will be able to feel the connection. When paying homage to the Buddha, you should recite this verse silently: "There is no one like the Buddha in heaven and under the world, and the worlds in the ten directions are also incomparable. Everything in the world I can see, there is no one like the Buddha." Lunpi, the teacher of gods and humans, the loving father of all lives, I have taken refuge now, can destroy the three evil karma, praise and praise him, even for billions of kalpas."
