It was his brother Liu Qiang who went to the black coal mine to dig coal to earn money, forcing Liu Zhi to go to college.

On the other hand, Liu Qiang contracted fatal lung disease because of poor working conditions. Poor Herry Liu was discriminated against in college, and he tried his best to treat his brother. The terminally ill brother asked Herry Liu, who studied journalism, to uphold justice for his fellow miners.
