Li Changyu's mother's horoscope

"Do your best, there is nothing to regret."

Many people like to watch detective novels, reasoning suspense TV series, watching the police in the script, and detectives restore stories and look for clues to solve crimes. This is an exciting process. In order to make the detective's image fuller, many TV dramas will use some dramatic techniques, but do detectives really exist in real life?

When it comes to detectives, people will think of one person, that is Li Changyu, the first detective in China. His research method makes full use of modern science, and his meticulous and persistent attitude has solved many strange cases. However, it was the conviction of the murder case 35 years ago that plunged Li Changyu into a crisis of confidence. What happened?

By chance, I became a "detective"

Li Changyu, 1938, was born in Rugao, Jiangsu. His family used to be relatively rich, but it declined because of an accident when his father went to sea. This makes it very difficult for the mother to have 13 children. Fortunately, these 13 brothers and sisters have worked hard, and everyone who knows them knows that these 13 brothers and sisters have made amazing achievements in their respective fields. Every child can be called a dragon and phoenix among people, and mother is very proud of it.

18 Li Changyu was successfully admitted to Ocean University, but he was surprised to find that the Central Police Academy was also enrolling students. At that time, this school was not only free of tuition, but also had some subsidies in life. This made Li Changyu, whose family was not very good, very happy, so he chose to go to the Central Police Academy. On the one hand, it lightens the burden on the family, on the other hand, there is no need to worry about finding a job after graduation. After entering the school, he studied very hard and his grades were naturally excellent. After graduation, he succeeded in becoming a police chief.

During the period of 1964, Li Changyu chose to study in the United States. During his study abroad, he spent half his time studying all the courses he had learned and obtained master's and doctor's degrees. After further study, Li Changyu chose to work in a criminal authentication institution, mainly responsible for: criminal experiments and authentication. He invested almost all his possessions in these experimental equipment and even obtained the qualification of international standards, so he can undertake major cases from all over the world. From the beginning, according to the data, more than 300 cases were solved every year, which was really shocking.

The efficiency of solving crimes in Li Changyu is not comparable to that of ordinary institutions. Among the cases he cracked, the most impressive one was the case of dismembering the body with a wood chipper. This is a husband who killed his wife, then chopped up the body with a wood chipper and threw it into the river. The wood chipper had no traces of cleaning. Evidence is extremely important for criminal cases. Li Changyu spent days and nights searching for evidence in the river, and finally the criminal was found guilty. There are many such cases, such as the murder of the wife of the police chief, the rape and murder of a 13-year-old girl and so on. These cases made Li Changyu a "detective".

An unjust case was questioned.

Li Changyu is called "Sherlock Holmes in reality" and is highly respected. However, a case 35 years ago made him begin to be questioned by people. This happened in 1985, and the body of an old man was found in a small town in the United States. This body has obvious marks of beating. The old man died of 27 knife wounds and massive bleeding, and the case progressed smoothly. At that time, the police had locked the murderer in two young people in this town. Because the two of them are idle and love to fight, it is natural that they are considered as the murderers of this case.

On the day when the old man's body was found, the two of them looked flustered and nervous when they saw the police, so they were taken away by the police for investigation. The crime scene was covered with the blood of the old man, but there was no blood on the two young people taken away by the police. The police sent someone to search their house and found no traces of crime.

Therefore, there was no direct evidence to prove that the two men were murderers, and the case was frozen, so the police had to call Li Changyu to investigate. During the investigation, Li Changyu found a towel with an unknown object on it in the old man's bathroom. Li Changyu explained that it was the old man's blood, so the police accused two young men of killing the old man, wiping off his blood and fleeing the scene.

The two young people were very wronged by this accusation and always defended themselves loudly, but the judge accepted the police statement and sentenced them to more than 50 years' imprisonment. Nobody paid attention to what the two young men said, so the case was solved.

However, 35 years later, two young people appealed against the unknown object on the towel again, arguing that it was not blood at all. The test results are not blood samples. Therefore, the court released the two men and publicly criticized Li Changyu, saying that Li Changyu submitted evidence without carefully examining the items on the towel, which led to the court making a wrong judgment.

Be ruined and cursed.

As soon as this incident came out, Li Changyu immediately fell into the condemnation of the United States, saying that because of his misjudgment, two young people spent 35 years in prison, which nothing can make up for. Some people even said that Li Changyu didn't take the test because he was bribed. For a time, Li Changyu's reputation as a "detective" was greatly affected. When public opinion was hotly debated, lawyers in the other two cases also took part in the accusation, claiming that their clients had also been wronged, which was more convincing because of the perjury provided by Li Changyu.

Later, Li Changyu also made his own explanation. He insisted that there was blood on the towel. However, Li Changyu is only a testing institution, which can only provide evidence for testing evidence, and the specific restoration and detection of the case is still a matter for the police. If the evidence is false, then why has such a big problem remained for 35 years? If it is false, isn't such a loophole your own fault? Why wait until 35 years to try this problem?

label

It took 35 years for these two young people's appeals to be retried. So, among them, is Li Changyu really the only one who did something wrong? Isn't there something wrong with the police and the court? Of course, this is just our guess. After all, we are not the parties.

If the truth of the matter is as Li Changyu insisted, then at least he did what he should do. If he really didn't do it, then it's up to others to decide whether it's right or wrong. As long as you have a clear conscience, there's nothing wrong with it.
