During the period of Northern Warlords, the Governor of Jiangsu Province rebuilt the park on the basis of the original Taoyuan in the Spring Festival, and built the earliest stadium in Nanjing, Jiangsu Province, Nanjing Public Stadium, next to the park. When crossing the bridge, I saw "Xiushan Park" inscribed by Li on the park archway. Xiushan Park covers a vast area, occupying the social altar of the former imperial palace in the Ming Dynasty in the north, and the high-level organs such as the Governor's Office of the Fifth Army, the General Political Department, Jinyiwei and Qin in the south in the early Ming Dynasty. The park combines Chinese and western, with terraced fields, pavilions and pavilions, dense buildings, exquisite rocks, gurgling streams and quiet scenery. There are famous Jiangsu Provincial Public Education Museum and Chinane College in the park. It has become the center of various major events, sports competitions and cultural education in Jiangsu.
In the book "Former Residence of Nanjing Celebrities", a passage was recorded: 1920, then governor of Jiangsu, Chun Li committed suicide inexplicably. At that time, the Beiyang government ordered him to be rewarded in the name of the President and named him "General Wei Ying", so the street where Chun-Li House was located was renamed "Wei Ying Street". Later, Nanjing built the first park in history. In order to commemorate Li Chuncai, it was named Xiushan Park. Because Li Chuncai was named Xiushan ... There are different opinions about Chun-Li's death. One is that he committed suicide because he was worried about his country and people, so later generations built this park to commemorate him. There is also a saying that the erotic news incident was murdered by his men, but because this kind of death sounds disgraceful, the former statement was made up to cover it up. But no matter how this man died, such a park appeared in Nanjing because of him.
1927 In the spring, after the National Revolutionary Army captured Nanjing, Chiang Kai-shek changed Xiushan Park into Nanjing No.1 Park, and built the National Revolutionary Army to crusade against Sun Martyrs' Shrine, Monument and Memorial Tower in the northeast corner of the park. Wei Ying Pavilion has Sun Yat-sen's Testament Room in the east and a music pavilion in the west, which has become an important place for people to mourn the martyrs. After the National Government made Nanjing its capital, Chiang Kai-shek and government officials came here every year to pay homage to the fallen martyrs and often conducted various political and social activities here. For example, after the death of Prime Minister Tan Yu 1930, the mourning hall was set up in the museum, and the state funeral ceremony was held here the following year.
At that time, many precious cultural relics were displayed in the park, including a pair of iron scissors weighing hundreds of pounds, commonly known as "flying scissors", which was originally located in the Temple ruins of the iron tower behind the Forbidden City in Nanjing, and later moved to the park for people to watch. This kind of scissors is a relic of the early Ming Dynasty, and it is a similar lifting machine during the Ming Dynasty. This kind of ancient large-scale hoisting machinery has no written records, let alone physical objects, which is precious. But after the Japanese army occupied Nanjing, the flying scissors disappeared. Some people say that it was melted by the Japanese and made a gun. Some people say they were robbed to Japan.
The first garden is located on the bank of the moat of the Ming Palace Museum rebuilt in Qingxi, with mountains and water and unparalleled scenery. Qinhuai cruise ship set out from Confucius Temple, sailed eastward, passed Lishe Bridge, Dongkou Bridge and Dazhong Bridge, and entered the moat. During the Lantern Festival from the Qing Dynasty to the Republic of China, the brigade's spring lanterns painted boats and dragons meandered, ending here. Therefore, Qinhuai Qingxi, a summer resort, has always been a good place for boating and is known as "Qinhuai Lantern Boat is the best in the world". From Chiang Kai-shek and Song Meiling to celebrities from all walks of life, they have all come here to go boating. There were all kinds of people who came here to enjoy the scenery by boating, such as wealthy businessmen who bought boats and feasted, literati who sang poems and expressed their feelings, people with lofty ideals who borrowed boats to discuss the revolutionary plan of saving the country and saving the world, old people who hired boats to enjoy the cool, bureaucrats who traveled by prostitutes, rich families and dude. 1922, after boating along this route, famous writers Zhu Ziqing and Yu Pingbo wrote the famous prose "Paddle Shadows and Lights Shade Qinhuai River".
Why was it later called the first park? It was because on March 29th of the Republic of China 16 (1927), the National Revolutionary Army defeated the warlord Sun and regained Nanjing. People from all walks of life in Nanjing came here to hold the victory meeting of the Northern Expedition, and Chiang Kai-shek, commander-in-chief of the Northern Expedition, also spoke at the meeting, with unprecedented pomp. /kloc-In August of 0/3, the then Nanjing Education Bureau took over Xiushan Park and temporarily named Xiushan Park as Nanjing No.1 Park. At that time, Xiushan Park was very large, with pavilions, small bridges and flowing water, and some public service systems, such as libraries and museums, which were typical modern parks.
