"Sirui" comes from Hong Fan in Shangshu. "First, look, second, say, third, look, fourth, listen, fifth, think." "Respectful in appearance, obedient in speech, bright in eyes, smart in hearing and sharp in thinking." Mr. Wang Dianji changed Hong Fan's original text to "thinking day and night", which means that only by studying and thinking hard every day can we be knowledgeable and keep pace with the times.
Du Zhi comes from the phrase "learned and Du Zhi" in The Analects of Confucius. It means extensive study and single-minded interest.
