Spring Festival couplets written by ancient celebrities
Wang Xizhi, a famous calligrapher in the Eastern Jin Dynasty, was honored as a "calligrapher" in the history of calligraphy. Legend has it that one year in the twelfth lunar month, he moved from his hometown in Shandong to Shaoxing, Zhejiang, and the joy of moving was also a celebration of the New Year. He couldn't help writing a couplet: spring breeze, spring rain and spring scenery; New year, new scene, new home. This couplet is embedded with the words "spring" and "new", which very aptly shows the scene of "Spring Festival". He felt very satisfied and asked his family to stick it on the door. Unexpectedly, because Wang Xizhi's calligraphy was the best in the world, he was highly respected by people at that time. As soon as this couplet was posted, it was uncovered at night. The family told Wang Xizhi that Wang Xizhi could understand the feelings of the uncovers, so he was not angry, so he picked up a pen and wrote a pair for his family to post again. This pair reads: Qian Shan in northern Ti Ying is green; Yan language is adjacent to thousands of families in the south.
