Charlie Chaplin's Early Experience

Chaplin claimed to be born at 1838, East Walworth Street, Southwark, Downtown London on April 6, 1989, but there was no exact birth certificate. 1June 1996 to1June 1998, young Charlie was just an ordinary resident of the poor school in the central area of Hanwell. 1898 Christmas, little Charlie, who was under the age of 10, became a professional stage actor. Because of his father's occupation, he joined a juvenile troupe at that time. After several weeks of training, Jackson quickly selected members of the troupe to perform the dance. 1900 On Christmas Day, this troupe named Lancashire won the opportunity to perform the animals in the kitchen in the ballet Cinderella. In this play, young Chaplin dressed up as a cat and had the first chance to make people laugh by acting.

190 1 In the spring of, Charlie left Lancashire Theatre. On May 9 of the same year, my father died at the age of 37, and he could no longer provide any form of help to his young son. In the next two years, little Charlie did everything: selling flower girl, being a barber, being a doctor and being a newsboy. But he spends most of his time working in glass factories and printing houses. He once worked as a toy boat in a private enterprise. 1903 in may, my brother Sidney returned from the sea and planned to take to the stage with the entertainment he learned on the boat. With Sidney's encouragement, Charlie, who was only 14 years old, got up the courage to recommend himself to West End of London's agent, and soon got the role of Billy Peggy in the drama Sherlock Holmes by a touring troupe. Before waiting for the tour to start, he played a newsboy in the stage play "Jim, The Romance of Anle Township". In more than two years, he played the role of Billy in several companies' stage plays, and played the role of Billy again at the Princess Theatre in London. After another trip to Sherlock Holmes, Charlie and Sidney joined the comedy stage play Repair. 1In May, 906, he joined another stage play, Cathy's Palace Circus, and performed for the play for more than one year. 17-year-old Charlie has started to play the leading role in comedies.

On February 2 1908, Chaplin signed a contract with Fred Cano, manager of the British Variety Theatre, and renewed it for three years in September 19 10. Charlie played the leading role in Carnaud's plays Birds in Mask, Football Team and Brave Jimmy.
