How to practice the basic skills of flatland tricks in detail

The basic skills of flat ground tricks can be divided into three levels: beginner (stepping), intermediate (CRAZY, compass), and advanced (8 figures). The practice methods are as follows:

1 , Primary (pressing step)

It is divided into 4 types: clockwise positive pressing step, counterclockwise positive pressing step, clockwise reverse pressing step, and counterclockwise reverse pressing step.

These four steps are very important, and they are also a level that newcomers must pass. They can be derived to level 1 of forward cross, inverted cross, CRAZY basic skills, forward single foot and inverted single foot, etc. and level 2 actions. Practicing the pressing step well will also be of great help in clearing the streets.

Practice method: The center of gravity should be lowered, the hips should be relaxed, and the knees should be relaxed and bent naturally. This will ensure that when the two feet are staggered, there is enough space without touching each other's shoes. When turning, you must first move your center of gravity, and then cross your outer foot over your inner foot. The faster the speed, the greater the tilt of the body toward the center of the circle. The principle is the same as riding a bicycle. At the moment when the outside foot steps in, the inside foot must use the outside edge to rub the ground outward, thereby obtaining a centrifugal force to maintain balance. Generally speaking, when stepping, one foot is alternately supporting the balance of the center of gravity. The faster the speed, the more the balance control of one foot is exercised.

Note: During the step-down process, the center of gravity should not swing up and down. If the center of gravity straightens or shakes during the step, it may be caused by the lack of relaxation of the crotch.

2. Intermediate level

① CRAZY

It is divided into CRAZY with the left foot in front and CRAZY with the right foot in front, which are dedicated to practicing inner eight and outer edge. Yes, you must practice until you are relatively fluent before you can pass the test.

Practice method: You can press the outer blade in place first. You can find a support to do it at the beginning. After about one or two times, please do not rely on the support to press the blade, because after forming a sense of dependence, you will Not good anymore. When pressing the inner eight, your crotch should still be relaxed, your knees should be relaxed and slightly bent, and your two toes should be aligned but not touching each other. Beginners will feel pain after pressing for about 1-2 minutes. They can endure it for 30 seconds before standing. Straight, then brush a few times to relax, and then start practicing CRAZY. The most important thing in CRAZY is that the center of gravity of the upper body must be upright. When doing CRAZY, the front cross to the outer eight must be done properly, and after the rear cross is completed, the inner eight must be formed in the mind. The trick is that there is a time difference between the left and right feet. That is to say, when doing it, there is a feeling of one foot going out first, and the other foot coming out again. This is different from the standard forward cross or back cross. This is done so that the center of gravity can be at the right position. The left and right feet alternate freely, and the movements are relaxed.

Note: If you find that the two feet are interfering together, it means that the cross is not relaxed, the knees are not bent, and the outer edge is not pressed enough.

② Compasses

There are 4 compasses, a straight compass and an inverted compass for the left and right feet respectively.

There are two ways to practice: one is to do the back snake, and make the range wider. Once you become proficient, you can stretch out one of your legs and touch the ground with the front wheel, and the compass will naturally come out. At the beginning, the speed should not be too fast, the two knees should be clamped, the radius should be large, and you can feel the feeling of the compass turning in a circle, and then shorten the radius, and it will naturally become faster. There is another training method, which is similar to the reverse step, but the front and rear feet are exactly opposite. The force of the back shear is used to push the sliding circle. After mastering it, place the back foot towards the center of the circle, which is a compass. For regular compasses, you can use the heel wheel as the center sliding arc, or you can use the front wheel as the center. Inverted compasses generally use the front wheel as the center.

3. Advanced (8 characters)

There are 4 types, the left foot and the right foot respectively have straight 8 characters and reverse 8 characters.

Practice method: Separating the 8 figures is actually a combination of a regular compass and an inverted compass on the left and right. Sometimes the inner eight is used in the middle. There are no other complicated techniques mentioned, just practice more. Make the compasses smaller and make 2 compasses between 1 stake distance. Figure 8 is a basic skill that is difficult to practice. It requires relatively high strength on the outer edge and single wheel. Please do not practice Figure 8 too early to avoid ligament damage.
