He is the president of Taiwan China Huangpu Descendants Association.
Zhang Daoyu is the son of Zhang Lingfu, commander of the 74th Division of the National Revolutionary Army. On March 9, 1947, he was born in a garden villa at No. 1 Jiaoyuan, Ertiao Lane, Nanjing. In May 1947, Zhang Lingfu led the Kuomintang's reorganized 74th Division and was besieged on Menglianggu by hundreds of thousands of troops from the East China Field Army. After several days of hard fighting, the entire army was annihilated. Zhang Daoyu, who was just one month old, lost his father's love forever. At the end of 1948, Wang Yuling moved to Taiwan with his young Zhang Daoyu and his mother.
Later, with the personal help of the then Taiwan Army Commander-in-Chief Sun Liren (who was Wang Yuling’s uncle), Wang Yuling obtained a passport to the United States, leaving behind her mother and 6-year-old child, and went to the United States to study alone. Zhang Lingfu did not leave much inheritance to Wang Yuling, and the whole family lived in poverty. In 1952, Zhang Daoyu and his mother Wang Yuling went to the United States to live, and later lived in Taiwan, Shanghai and other places. In 1995, Wang Yuling supported her son's investment in Shanghai and settled down. His products radiate across the country and are exported to Europe and the United States. He is currently the president of Taiwan China Huangpu Descendants Association.
