Don’t disbelieve it, nor force it. The eight characters are the combination of heavenly stems and earthly branches of year, month, day and hour. Year, month, day and hour are called four pillars. Each pillar, one stem and one branch together have eight characters. Think about how many people were born on the same day, same year, same month, and the same day? You can’t pick one out of ten thousand.
What I want to say is. Even if they are born in the same year, the same month and the same day, their destinies will be different due to different family circumstances. So destiny has cause and effect. If there is no cause and effect, there will be nothing. There will be things like this after birth, what do you think? Personally I don't think there's any need to worry. It's useless to forget about it. There is no good or bad fate, only cause and effect. In other words, one's actions are good or bad. As the old saying goes, "good people are rewarded." If you do things with a clear conscience, you will naturally have no regrets.
Buddhism says: "If you want to know the past life, what is the recipient in this life. If you want to know the outcome of the next life, what is the doer in this life." Taoism also says: "Misfortune lies on the back of blessing, and blessing lies on the misfortune." Everything has two sides, it depends on how you look at it. Therefore, fortune telling can only increase worries. Just like you are now, you don't know what to do, and troubles arise.
It is recommended that you briefly understand Buddhism when you have time, it is very simple. He is not superstitious, just read the Diamond Sutra in vernacular. "Heart Sutra". Then it would be better to study the issue of inviting Bodhisattvas.
No more ink. I hope you can face yourself and find happiness and freedom instead of being swayed by unknown speculations.
