1. Unscrew the oil drain plug at the lower part of the axle housing and drain the lubricating oil of the axle housing; Remove the connecting bolt between the flange of the driving bevel gear and the transmission shaft;
2. Remove the axle shaft. Before removal, cover the front wheel with a wooden mask and release the parking brake. When disassembling, loosen and unscrew all axle shaft fastening nuts and washers; Tap the center of the rear part of the axle shaft 2-3 times with a copper hammer to separate the flange surface of the axle shaft from the connecting surface of the hub, then pull the flange of the axle shaft by hand and pull out the axle shaft. Note that when the spline part of the axle shaft is about to pass through the oil seal, hold the axle shaft by hand, and slowly rotate the axle shaft to move it out in parallel, so as to avoid damaging the axle shaft oil seal and preventing the axle shaft from falling to the ground and injuring people.
3. Disassembly of the main reducer assembly: remove the rear brake hose and tee; Support the reducer housing with a trolley, remove the 12 bolt connecting the reducer housing with the rear axle, and remove the reducer assembly from the axle housing; Disconnect the brake air chamber hose from the pipeline, and remove the brake air chamber and the adjusting arm assembly;
4. Remove the fastening screw of the hub adjusting nut locking plate, take out the locking plate, and remove the hub adjusting nut with a special sleeve; Gently rotate the hub and brake drum assembly, pull the hub outward with a puller, and tap the brake drum at the same time to loosen the inner ring of the outer bearing. After loosening the inner ring of the outer bearing, remove the hub and brake drum assembly. However, at this time, attention should be paid to the heavy weight of the assembly to avoid fracture or personal injury, and at the same time, attention should be paid to protecting the inner ring of the outer bearing from fracture.
5. Remove the inner bearing inner ring assembly and the oil seal retainer assembly with a puller; Remove the brake return spring and camshaft with the return spring removal tool; Remove the fastening bolts of the brake base plate with a wrench, and remove the brake base plate together with the brake shoe and dust cover assembly; Remove the brake chamber bracket and axle housing assembly.
