How to arrange the composition of eight-character content

To write the basic skills of calligraphy well, we need to master the "eight-character mantra" and "five-character key"

A New Perspective of Text/Growth

Brush is one of the traditional writing tools in China. To write China's calligraphy well, the correct writing posture and writing method are particularly important, and they are also the basic skills that must be trained. There are two writing postures: sitting and standing. The former is a work of writing small font and small format, while the latter is a work of writing large font and large format. Among them, you should abide by the "eight-character mantra" when sitting in a book.

The writing method of the brush is "five-finger writing", which pays attention to the "five-pointed" such as pressing, planing, hooking, stopping and reaching, and requires the pen holder to be vertical, the fingers to be firm and the palms to be flat.

First, sitting posture.

The correct posture of brush calligraphy is "Eight-character True Classics", that is, head straight, body straight, arms open and feet safe.

1. Keep your head straight. Keep your head straight and lean forward slightly to ensure a moderate viewing angle and don't lean. The distance between the eyes and the paper should be kept at about 30-40 cm. Hold the paper with your left hand, follow the writing progress, adjust the position of the paper, and always keep the words written in the best range of your eyes and hands.

2. Keep it straight. Sit up straight with your back straight and your shoulders flat. The distance from the chest to the edge of the table should be around 10 cm, and the distance should be adjusted appropriately when writing. Don't cling to the desktop, hunch over, and twist your waist and shoulders.

Open your arms. The two arms are naturally separated, and the included angle between the upper and lower arms is about 90, so as to keep the four joints of finger, wrist, elbow and shoulder fully coordinated and stable, and try to make the whole body strength run through the pen tip.

4. Foot safety. The soles of your feet naturally lie flat on the ground and your legs naturally bend. Feet parallel or slightly forward and backward. Don't cross your legs, kick your legs, cross your legs, kneel, squat, etc.

Second, the posture of the book.

Use a book-standing posture when writing large characters or large-format works. The purpose is to hang the wrist flexibly, write fluently and condescendingly, broaden the perspective, and facilitate the overall situation and master the rules.

When writing, your feet should be properly separated, tandem, and keep your body balanced; The upper body should lean forward slightly, bend slightly, and stretch your arms naturally. Press the paper with your left hand, hang your elbow with your right hand, and keep writing at an appropriate angle.

You can walk with the paper or change the position of the paper with your left hand. Taboo desktop is too big, bend down and write on the desktop.

Third, the method of writing.

The ancients attached great importance to the writing method of brush, and thought that "whoever learns calligraphy should learn to write first" brush generally adopted the "five-finger writing method", that is, the right hand holds the pen with five fingers, and the order of fingers from the tip to the end of the pen is little finger, ring finger, middle finger, index finger and thumb. The writing position is generally more than 3 cm from the writing head. The elbow is naturally placed on the table, so the wrist can be hung flexibly when writing.

The "five-finger grip" pays attention to the "five-character essentials" such as pressing, planing, hooking, stopping and reaching, and achieves the "three essentials" such as vertical pen, virtual finger and palm wrist.

1. Five-character key.

One is to press. Point to your stomach with your thumb and stick to the left side of the pen.

The second is to bet. Refers to the index finger pointing to the abdomen, close to the right side of the pen, and holding the top of the pen opposite to the thumb.

The third is the hook. The middle finger is close to the lower part of the index finger, and the first joint bends like a hook, hooking the outside of the pen tube.

The fourth is the grid. Refers to the ring finger below the middle finger, which is opposite to the middle finger and close to the pen holder, and blocks the pen holder by hooking the middle finger inward to prevent the pen holder from being skewed.

The fifth is arrival. It means that the little finger is held under the ring finger, which increases the strength of the ring finger and plays a stable role.

2. Three elements.

First, the pen is vertical. Make the pen holder basically perpendicular to the paper, so as to ensure that the center can write, and it is convenient to adjust the direction of the nib at the octagonal front end.

The second is that the palm is empty. Refers to the reality, that is, pinch the pen with your fingertips, and it should be moderately elastic, and you can't hook the pen with your knuckles. Because the fingertip is sensitive, it is easy to control the subtle changes of the nib; Palm deficiency means that when writing, the palm should be empty, and the ring finger and little finger should not be held in the palm, which is beneficial to the flexible movement of fingers and joints.

The third is that the palm is vertical and the wrist is flat. Palm vertical refers to holding the pen by hand to keep it vertical; Wrist level means that the wrist is kept at an appropriate level with the paper.

When writing, you should be elastic and moderate, so as to ensure the flexible operation of the pen holder and the free change of the pen tip. The words written in this way have charm and spirituality, and are not dry or boring.
