There is an acupuncture point on both sides of the nose called "Yingxiang". This point can cure nasal congestion, open the nose orifice, and welcome the fragrance, so it is named "Yingxiang".
There is a saying in "Acupuncture Dacheng" that "the fragrance can be used to treat nasal diseases". "Acupuncture and Moxibustion Songs" says, "How can you treat it if you don't smell the fragrance? The two Yingxiang points can be attacked."
As the name suggests, if there is something wrong with the nose, such as the nasal cavity being blocked due to a cold or allergy, so that you cannot smell the fragrance, stimulating the Yingxiang points on both sides of the nose is the most direct and effective auxiliary treatment (if necessary) It must also be coordinated with other acupoints such as the forehead, top of the head or back of the neck).
Method of selecting acupoints
When selecting acupoints, generally sit or lie on your back, look directly at the smile lines (one-half of the thumb width) on both sides of the nostrils (when smiling) Select the acupoint in the figure-eight-shaped lines next to the nose).
Yingxiang point is divided into upper and lower points. Shangyingxiang is located on both sides of the nostrils and at the upper end of the nasolabial fold. Xiayingxiang point is located 5 minutes beside the nose wing and in the nasolabial fold. Therefore, there is a saying that "the fifth number next to the nose welcomes the fragrance".

Stimulation method
☆Use the tip of your index finger to massage the fragrance. It is more effective to stimulate in the left and right directions. It takes about 1 minute once. Drink after massage. 1 cup hot boiling water.
☆Use the outside of your thumb to massage along the smile lines and both sides of the nose in an up-and-down, triangle-shaped direction. Since the thumb belongs to the Taiyin Lung Meridian of the hand, it has a "yin and yang exterior and interior" relationship with the large intestine meridian to which the Yingxiang point belongs, and the stimulation range is large. It is highly recommended. It takes about 1 minute once, and you drink a cup of hot water after massaging.
☆Put both hands up to the face, place the tips of the index fingers on the Yingxiang point, and rotate and rub. Inhale through the nose and exhale through the mouth. When inhaling, massage outwards and upwards, and when exhaling, massage inward and downwards. Do this 8 times in a row, up to 64 times. If you have a cold, runny nose or blocked nose, do it as many times as possible.
When the nose is blocked, massage the Yingxiang point, and the nose should usually be clear. If it still doesn't work, you can press the Tang point. Yintang point is in the center between the left and right eyebrows. Press the Yintang point with the pulp of your middle finger, push up with a little force, and then press down slowly.
After several stimulations, the nasal congestion will disappear. In addition, stimulating the Fengchi point on the back of the neck (located in the recess behind the ear and under the hairline on the neck) is also effective.

Bitong: that is, the upper Yingxiang point.
Penetrating acupuncture is a method of inserting a filiform needle into an acupuncture point and then penetrating another acupoint (several acupoints) or part in a certain direction. .
☆Puncture 1.0 to 1.5 inches outward and upward, and penetrate through the four points.
Precautions
The skin at this point is shallow and the needle feels sensitive. It is easy to bleed when pricked, so you should be careful. To treat blocked nose, it can be cleared with just one prick, but sometimes it will still be blocked after the needle is removed.
For mild rhinitis, while insisting on massage, rinsing the nasal cavity with saline twice a day can effectively improve symptoms such as nasal congestion and headache.
