Where does Dr. Hengfan Bridge belong?

Hengfan Dr. Bridge is a cultural relic protection unit in Suzhou.

Hengshan Dr. Bridge, formerly known as Bazi Bridge, is located in Group 3 of Sidu Village, Hengshan Town, Wujiang City.

It was originally built without examination and was originally a wooden bridge. According to legend, it was built during the Hongwu period of the Ming Dynasty (1368-1398). Two rivers, the east-west Henggang river and the north-south Xigang river, cross and flow through the bridge. To the southwest of the intersection of the two ports is the Jiuziwei (agricultural polder). At the end of the Yuan Dynasty, a Feng Shui master came here and said that Niu Ziwei is like a lying cow. If two horns can be placed on the cow's head, it will become a good dragon vein that "every day thousands of people will pay homage to", and it can bring out "true destiny". "Emperor". It is located in the Baziqiao area. Later, there was no "Emperor Right". Unfortunately, the "feng shui" was broken by Liu Bowen, the military counselor in the Hongwu era of the Ming Dynasty. He built a "Guanyin with a head" in the "Cow Brain Center" in the middle of the Baziqiao. It looks like a star. The nails nailed "Wo Niu" alive, and from then on, "The Right One" could not get out. "Guanyin with the head of the temple" still exists at the Bazi Bridge, where people offer incense. So the locals built a bridge each on Henggang and Xigang. The two bridges formed an "eight" shape, as if a pair of horns were placed on an ox's head. The two bridges were originally called Bazi Bridge, but were later corrected (or changed) to Doctor Bridge (in local dialect, "Bazi" and "Doctor" are the same pronunciation). The name of this bridge reflects the local people's expectation for a "noble man". In the twelfth year of Tongzhi in the Qing Dynasty (1873), they were constructed with stones from the nearby abandoned Chongwu Temple. Both bridges were beam-type stone bridges. On July 29, 1994, it was listed as a cultural relics control unit in Wujiang City.

The bridge across the port runs north-south, with a total length of 11.7 meters, a width of 1.6 meters, a hole height of 3.05 meters, and a span of 4.8 meters. The bridge over West Harbor runs east-west, with a total length of 10 meters, a width of 1.8 meters, a hole height of 3.1 meters, and a span of 5.4 meters.
