Does playing football bend your legs?
Belgian scientists recently pointed out that statistics and research have confirmed that kicking the ball is easy to change the shape of the legs, which means that athletes who have been engaged in football for a long time are easy to form "O-legs" (bow legs). However, scientists also said that this did not affect the sports beauty of football players at all. Although people can often find that football players often have "O-legs" in their eyes, this phenomenon has not been scientifically explained. Eric Vitello, a medical scientist from Ghent University in Belgium, surveyed 550 football players and found that the probability of football players having "O-legs" was about 10 times higher than that of ordinary people, and a quarter of the "dribbling masters" had their leg bones bent outward. Scientists explained that this is mainly because playing football for a long time makes the legs of football players frequently stressed, which makes the muscles inside the legs stronger and shorter, so the leg bones are deformed under this action. Scientists said that the publication of this research result "is not to create people's fear of football". In fact, the performance of football players on the court gives people a feeling of being more fit. At the same time, scientists suggest that we can often do some auxiliary exercises, such as strengthening the lateral muscles of the legs, so as to correct the leg shape.
