Zhucheng is a regional central city in Shandong Peninsula, one of the top 100 counties and cities in the country in terms of county economy and basic competitiveness, a national comprehensive experimental zone for new urbanization, a coastal open city and an important transportation hub in Shandong Peninsula. Zhucheng city is located in Zhucheng basin of Ludong fault block, and the Mu Yi fault zone passes through the west side of the city.

Mesozoic magmatism was intense, forming a large area of volcanic rocks and various intrusive rocks. Mesozoic intrusive rocks developed in China are concentrated in Taolin crater south of Haogezhuang fault and its vicinity. Mesozoic intrusive rocks in China only developed in the late Yanshan period. According to the sequence of activities, compared with adjacent areas, it can be divided into early Aishan intrusive rocks and late Laoshan intrusive rocks.
