4. Length: increase the length of the side chute spillway, increase the water flow time, and make the water flow fully consume speed and pressure.
5. Straight: Ensure that the side channel spillway is straight, so that the water flow is not affected by bending and the water flow is smoother.
6. Stability: ensure the structural stability of the side channel spillway and resist water erosion and water impact.
7. Access: ensure the smoothness of the side channel spillway, and reduce the flow resistance and local siltation.
8. Levelling: ensure the bottom of the side channel spillway is leveled, so that the water flow will gradually slow down and flow smoothly.
