Wrap the penis with sterile gauze, push the foreskin backward to expose the external urethral orifice, rotate and wipe the urethral orifice and glans from the urethra outward and backward, and pause for one minute when disinfecting the urethral orifice, so that the disinfectant can fully contact with the mucosa of the urethral orifice to achieve the purpose of disinfection.
Insert the catheter, lift the penis to make it form a 60-degree angle with the abdomen, so that the pubic bone leans forward to disappear, clamp the front end of the catheter with tweezers, aim at the urethral orifice, gently insert the catheter into the vagina for 20-20-22cm, and then insert it for 5-7 cm after urination. When the intubation is blocked, stop for a minute, let the patient take a deep breath and then insert the catheter slowly, gently, so as not to damage the urethral mucosa.

Medically, a catheter is inserted into the bladder to drain urine. Catheter can be divided into indwelling catheter and intermittent catheter.
