Nanchang: Resettlement houses have not been delivered after six years of demolition. What does a wall cover?

On Innovation Avenue in Nanchang High-tech Zone, there is green grassland on the right side of the road and a gray-tiled white wall on the left. The whole road looks clean and tidy. However, if you look closer, you will see a large, low, dilapidated iron shed behind this wall.

Villagers from Chashanying Village Group, Yangmen Village, Changdong Town, Nanchang High-tech Zone, said that this iron shed has existed for more than ten years and was originally a transitional housing. There is no kitchen or bathroom, it’s cold in winter and hot in summer, and it’s scary when it’s windy or rainy. The time for resettlement houses is calculated from the date of demolition and is guaranteed to be delivered within three years. However, the planned resettlement site is still a vegetable patch and grassland.

The villagers said that they only received the demolition transition fees originally promised in 2017 and 2018. I didn't get the transition fee for the next few years, and I asked many times but didn't get an accurate reply. The village has reported the situation, but on some issues it is not as good as you, the common people, to report the situation. This matter needs to be promoted by government departments, and it is okay to go to the district to report the situation. It has been five or six years since the demolition was completed, and the demolition has not been done yet.

Planning the location

Currently, relevant preparatory work for bidding has been completed and the bidding work will be accelerated. We strive to fully commence construction before the end of this year in December and complete completion in 2026. Since the resettlement houses have not yet been delivered, some relocated households are still living in prefabricated houses. In this regard, the Nanchang High-tech Zone Management Committee has formulated a variety of solutions for the demolished households to choose from.

The first is to make these people willing to move to other resettlement housing plots. Allocate some existing resettlement houses first, and then the second step is to guide the people living there to rent houses outside.
