This sentence comes from Su Zhe's Wuchang Jiuqu Pavilion in the Song Dynasty. Original paragraph:
Zi Zhan moved to Qi 'an and stayed by the river. Qi 'an is a nameless mountain, with Wuchang Mountains stretching in the south of the Yangtze River and deep and dense valleys. Among them are floating pictures and exquisite houses, which are called the Western Hills and the Eastern Han Xi.
Translation:
After Zi Zhan was demoted to Qi 'an, his family lived by the river. There are no famous mountains in Qi 'an, but Wuchang on the south bank of the Yangtze River has undulating mountains and deep valleys, temples and monasteries. It is called Xishan Temple in the west and Han Xi Temple in the east.
Literary appreciation:
During his stay in Huangzhou, Su Shi often traveled to the Western Hills. Put pen to paper, start writing from his exile, achieve a strategic position, get to the point, and keep writing articles. Then gently say "Qi 'an Unknown Mountain", then buckle it and move the brush strokes from Huangzhou to Wuchang Xishan in Shunjiang Mianting. In a few words, there has been a tendency for dragons and snakes to bend over.
Writing about Xishan is also based on "staying by the river". First, with the character image of "Toby spreading, the valley is deep and dense", a forward-looking picture of Wuchang Mountain stretching along the river is outlined, which is concise, vivid and distinctive.
