What does the text on the sword of King Goujian of Yue mean?

The sword of King Goujian of Yue is 55.7 cm high, 4.6 cm wide, 8.4 cm long in the handle, and weighs 875 grams. Unearthed in the Wangshan Chu Tombs near Jingzhou City, Hubei Province in the winter of 1965, the sword was engraved with eight characters in bird seal script, "King Gou Jian of Yue made his own sword."
