The Historical Evolution of Tian Yang Town

Tian Yang Town is named after the Tian Yang Ridge in China. According to legend, in the Song Dynasty, Yang cultivated farmland here and later developed villages. In the early days of liberation, it belonged to Rongcheng District. 1952, Tian Yang township was zoned and a government was established. 1956, when it merged with Qiao Mei, Wu Mei, Shishan, Jihai and Dongxi, it was still called Tian Yang Township. 1958, Tian Yang people's commune was established, and Dongbao left the territory on 1972.
