Commonly used radicals are as follows:

1. Er: two prefixes, examples of which include yuan, yun, and kui; son: bottom of son, examples of which include yun, brother, and guang .

2. Ten: the head of the cross, the example characters include Zhi, Nan, and Zhen; Ji: the base of the character Ji, the example characters include Curse, Tu, and Ping.

3. Factory: next to the word factory, the example words are hall, calendar, and yuan; 匚: three frames, the example words are district, craftsman, and medical.

4. 冫: Two points of water, the example words are Leng, Ci, and Zhen; 蠠: Next to the word Yan, the example words are Ji, Lun, and Shi.

5. 冂: the same character as kuang, examples include gang, net, and zhou; bu: div character edge, examples include wai, wo, and pu.
