In the 1980s, the eastern section of Baoyang Road in the south (Tongji Road to Binjiang) was a natural village and weather station such as Zhang Jianbang. 90 years later, the original Mudanjiang Road extended to the south, and Wusong Town and Baoshan Wusong Town joined together, which is now Baoshan New Village, Danone Garden and other residential areas. There is Lin Bao New Village in the north.

In 1990s, Shanghai 16 Wharf and Wusong Wharf were moved to Yang Wharf, and ferries connected Chongming, Hengsha, Changxing and Zhoushan Islands.

Before the 1990s, Baoyang Road from Tongji Road to Yangxing was originally the Baziqiao Brigade and Yangdong Brigade, which belonged to Wusong Township in Baoshan District and later to Baoshan Town in Baoshan District. The former town government is located in the southeast of Baoyang Road and Tongji Road, and has now been revoked. In the 1990s, with the development of economy, most villages were relocated due to the construction and expansion of factories along the highway.

Xian Yang (Baoshan City ~ Yangxing) is an important east-west trunk road in Baoshan District, which is basically parallel to Shuichan Road, S20 and Taihe Road in the south and Youyi Road, Fujin Road and A30 in the north.
