?Emperor Guangxu suffered from spermatorrhea more than ten times a month and after 30 years, he had no sperm.
Guangxu was the eleventh emperor of the Qing Dynasty. He was only 38 years old when he died. In fact, he was only 37 years old. There are different opinions on the cause of his death, and he was called one of the eight mysteries of the Qing Dynasty. In October 2008, the National Qing History Project Compilation Committee and other units announced the test results of Guangxu’s hair and clothing, believing that Guangxu died of arsenic poisoning. At this point, the cause of Guangxu's death has basically been cleared up. What is less known is that Guangxu had a long history of nocturnal emissions and his health was very poor during his lifetime.
In ancient times, the emperor’s food, clothing, housing and transportation were all recorded, and his health was a top priority. Emperor Guangxu's medical history and illness were recorded in a file called "The Pathogen". Because he was usually frail and sick, he attached great importance to the records of diseases. Some of the contents of the "Patient" were dictated by him, and some were recorded in his own handwriting, which is credible. The degree is very high. When he was 36 years old, one year before his death, he wrote: "The disease of spermatorrhea will last for twenty years. In the first few years, it would occur more than ten times a month, but in recent years, it would only occur two or three times a month, and whether it occurs or not." When the dream does not occur, it means self-discharge, especially in winter. Those who have had less discharge in recent years are not gradually recovering, but are due to excessive kidney meridian loss and inability to vent. ?Translated into vernacular: (I) have had nocturnal emissions for nearly 20 years. In the past few years, I had nocturnal emissions more than a dozen times a month. In recent years, they have been nocturnal emissions. In recent years, they have been nocturnal emissions. Sometimes I have nocturnal emissions at night without having sex dreams or nocturnal erections. In winter, I have nocturnal emissions. More serious. In recent years, the frequency of nocturnal emissions has decreased. The reason is not that the condition has improved, but that the kidneys are in deficiency, resulting in the inability to discharge sperm. This means that he has suffered from nocturnal emissions since adolescence, as many as a dozen times a month. In my early 30s, I reached the point where I almost had no energy to release.
Spermatorrhea refers to a physiological phenomenon in which sperm is released during non-sexual life. Among them, those who have nocturnal emissions in dreams are called "dream nocturnal emissions"; those who have nocturnal emissions without dreams or vaginal discharge while awake are called "Huaejing". It should be pointed out that if an adult male has no sex and no sexual life, he will experience 1 to 5 nocturnal emissions every month. This is a normal physiological phenomenon of "self-exuberance and self-overflow". It generally has no impact and cannot be considered pathological. The main component of sperm is the liquid secreted by the seminal vesicles and prostate, and sperm only accounts for 0.1%. In layman's terms, most of a man's penis is water, and it doesn't matter if you lose some. After a vaginal discharge or nocturnal emission, it takes 48 hours for sperm to be replenished. Of course, in order to achieve ideal sperm quality and quantity, it is best to wait 3 to 5 days. Therefore, men now have to wait for a sperm test before testing. It is required to abstain from sex for 3 to 5 days. However, it is abnormal for Guangxu to have nocturnal emissions more than ten times a month. Modern medicine believes that men who have nocturnal emissions more than 6 times a month are pathological nocturnal emissions.
There are many reasons for nocturnal emissions, which mainly include: long-term addiction to sexual intercourse; negative emotions such as tension, anxiety, and fear; bad lifestyle and habits, such as wearing tight-fitting clothes, alcoholism, Strenuous exercise, too warm or too thick quilts, hot water baths and foot baths too long before going to bed, etc.; neurasthenia; inflammation and diseases of the genitourinary system. Guangxu suffered from spermatorrhea for a long time. He suffered from kidney qi deficiency and developed into spermatorrhea. When describing the reasons for the initial onset of spermatorrhea, Guangxu wrote: At first, when he heard the sound of gongs during the day, he felt his heartbeat and spontaneously discharged his sperm. The same goes for dreams. ?When I hear the gong in the morning, I feel agitated in my heart and have nocturnal emissions. The same happens at night when I sleep. The ancient Chinese medicine book "Lingshu Benshen Chapter" says: "Fear without understanding will damage the essence." ? Emperor Guangxu was emotionally disturbed and frightened, which made his spermatorrhea protracted and worsened. Indeed, this son-in-law emperor, under the supervision of the Empress Dowager Cixi, has been cautious for a long time, walking on thin ice.
In addition, Guangxu also recorded other complications, mainly nocturnal emissions: fear of wind and cold, tinnitus, backache, cold limbs, frequent urination, dripping after urination, wet vagina, etc. Traditional Chinese medicine believes that these are symptoms caused by kidney deficiency and essence deficiency. In order to treat Guangxu's spermatorrhea, the imperial doctor prescribed many prescriptions. Guangxu once personally copied a "prescription for treating spermatorrhea", which consisted of Rehmannia glutinosa, Alisma, paeonol bark, Poria cocos, yam, date bark, Gorgon fruit, Cuscuta seeds, Eucommia ulmoides, Composed of Morinda officinalis, lard, etc. This prescription has the word "extremely effective" written by Guangxu himself, which should be his experience after taking the medicine. From the perspective of drug compatibility, this prescription is based on Liuwei Dihuang Pills, with a product that warms the kidneys and strengthens essence. Morinda officinalis is combined with dodder seeds, which complement each other in their kidney-tonifying and essence-strengthening effects. Eucommia ulmoides combined with Gorgon fruit has a stronger effect of strengthening the spleen and kidneys. However, Guangxu was imprisoned in Yingtai for ten years by the Empress Dowager Cixi. His mental illness was not cured. No matter how effective the medicine was, it could not cure his spermatorrhea.
?
Emperor Guangxu himself died at the age of 38, leaving not a single man and a half women behind him. Guangxu had a queen, two famous concubines, and a group of young palace ladies around him. Although he was imprisoned in Yingtai for ten years and was basically a puppet emperor, he still had a greater degree of freedom in his sexual life. Queen Yehenala was the niece of the Empress Dowager Cixi. It was said that she was thin and hunchbacked. She had been in the harem for decades. Emperor Guangxu had almost no interest in her, but it was certainly not that he had not touched her. The emperor's sex life was also recorded, called the "Ching Xing Book". There were few records of the sex life between Guangxu and the queen, "very few". It doesn't mean there is none. Guangxu's favorite was Concubine Zhen, and their married life was sweet.
In ancient times, as long as the concubines and maids of the emperor were pregnant, miscarried, or died young, they would be recorded in the history books. However, Guangxu was blank in this regard. According to the current theory, Guangxu suffered from infertility, and the "Pathogen" also said that his vagina was "sparse and cold", indicating that the quality of his vagina was very poor, and he should have a little asthenia or even no breast cancer. It can be seen that Guangxu's infertility and spermatorrhea are closely related.
