Is the pain behind the neck a precursor of cervical spondylosis?

Cervical spondylosis is a degenerative disease. In particular, bending at a desk for a long time makes the cervical spine in a flexion position or certain specific positions for a long time, which not only increases the pressure in the cervical intervertebral disc, but also makes the cervical muscles in an uncoordinated stress state for a long time. The muscles and ligaments behind the neck are easily injured by traction, and the front edges of the vertebral bodies wear and proliferate with each other. Coupled with excessive torsion and lateral flexion, it further leads to injury and cervical spondylosis. Cervical spondylosis grows exponentially with age, which will bring pain to patients, and in severe cases, it can be disabled. Prevention of cervical spondylosis is mainly to slow down the process of cervical disc degeneration. Bad sleeping posture, incorrect working posture and improper physical exercise are the common causes of cervical joint degeneration. Developmental cervical spinal stenosis and congenital malformation of cervical spine are potential factors of cervical spondylosis.
