Rites and steps of burning incense and worshipping Buddha

First, choose the entrance door. There are three doors in the temple building, so you should pay attention to which door to enter. It is said that only temples with lights are qualified to build thirteen gates. The three doors in the middle are for people to enter and leave. Generally speaking, tourists can only enter through the door on the right. The middle door is called an empty door, and only monks can enter and leave.

When entering the door, the female guest takes the right foot first and the male guest takes the left foot first. Be careful not to step on the threshold, the bigger the step, the better.

If you burn incense, three wick prayed for yourself, six wick prayed for two generations, and nine wick prayed for three generations. Thirteen is an extreme, and thirteen wick incense is a high fragrance of complete merit.

Is to burn incense and kowtow. If you burn incense, you should hold the incense in your left hand and the candle in your right hand, because most people kill chickens and cut fish with their right hands, but the left hand is the opposite.

When burning incense, light the incense first. The more prosperous the better, people often say that incense is strong. Left hand on the top, right hand holding incense on the bottom, bow your head.

After bowing, put the incense in the incense ashes and you can kowtow at the door. If you kowtow, you should find Buddha, Bodhisattva or Lohan. For example, you can't kowtow to Tibetan Bodhisattva.

The posture of lowering the head is like this. Kneel on the futon and put your hands together. Note that these palms are hollow, hold them above your head, pause to your mouth, make a wish, then go down to your heart, meditate, then spread them out, palms up, upper body prone.

How to worship Buddha correctly?

To worship Buddha is to put down your whole body and mind, worship between heaven and earth, and worship Buddha. It is very gentle to worship Buddha, and it is also very gentle to cross your hands. You must respect others when crossing your hands. What is respect for others? Without me, you are the oldest and I am the youngest. When you cross your hands, you will see a person's accomplishment. In India, with our hands crossed, many of us who study Buddhism go to Thailand to have a look. Can't compare, because it is a Buddhist country. When your hands are crossed, your whole body is humble. You want to be a beautiful flower.

When I worship Buddha, my whole body is like a mountain, and "I" is like a high arch mountain. The landslide collapsed and fell to the ground. Look at the Buddha's white hair when you worship the Buddha. The Buddha's white hair can eliminate endless sins. The Buddha's white hair is common. When you flip the palm of your hand, visualize the Buddha standing in the void, then worship and flip the palm. Our ceremony is called head-to-head ceremony, and head-to-head ceremony means foot, holding Buddha's foot. The Buddha is full of merits, with thousands of spokes, Van Gogh's summit, fish scales and swastikas. Therefore, the magnetic field of the Buddha standing underground is balanced, there is a light print on the ground, and the Buddha is suspended. Therefore, the Buddha and Bodhisattva should not wear shoes and never step on the ground. It is very kind to look down when your hands are crossed, so your heart will become softer and softer.

Buddhist etiquette-the essence of worshipping Buddha;

① Stand upright about one foot beside the worship mat, with heels separated by about two inches. Feet eight inches apart, hands crossed on your chest.

(2) Put your right hand down in the middle of the worship mat, with your left hand folded, bend down at the same time, with your knees apart, and kneel beside the worship mat.

③ Bend over and put your left hand in front of the mat.

(4) Move your right hand to the right front of the worship mat, so that your hands are flush, about six inches apart, and your head rests on the worship mat between your hands.

⑤ The palms are turned upside down (meaning that the hands are connected to the Buddha's feet, and the Buddha's "feet" represent Fu Hui's feet. At this time, "two elbows, two knees, and the top of the head" are all on the mat. This posture is called "full body".

⑥ Turn your hands inward, bend your hands and press your palms down on the mat.

⑧ Move your right hand to the middle of the prayer mat.

Attending to prop up the body with your right hand and gradually stand upright. Then conveniently raise your right hand to your chest and put your hands together.

After worshipping three times, ask for information (bow 90 degrees), step back half a step, put down your hands, turn right and leave.

Heart: Worship Buddha means to put down your shelf and be a person without shelf. When you come to the temple, you can worship the clay bodhisattva. Why can't you respect people? Put down your airs in front of everyone and express our respect for everyone first; In addition, there is another meaning. People can put down their shelves and put them on the horizon. What benefits can they get? Very safe. The higher you lift, the harder you fall. Therefore, in front of everyone, we can really be a very noble person, without airs. We should face life, environment and personnel without any shelf. You said you were worshipping Buddha in the temple, but you didn't understand. You were pretending to worship Buddha.

Tips for worshipping Buddha: When worshipping Buddha, the movements are not slow or urgent, the heart is sincere and the appearance is respectful. Don't look respectful, dally with me, or cheat your dignity in the name of practice. When worshipping Buddha, first worship the main Buddha in the center of the temple, and then worship other buddhas and bodhisattvas clockwise. If all the three treasures of the ten parties and three generations are worshipped, their hearts will be bigger and their merits will be more remarkable. When you worship Buddha, you have to face the Buddha statue. Which icon you worship is called the name you read. For example, if you worship Amitabha, you will say "there is no Amitabha in the south" and then worship it three times.

If a monk is worshipping Buddha, laity should not worship Buddha in front of Master or side by side with Master, but worship Buddha behind Master. When someone salutes the Buddha, don't go straight through it.
