Female life, Bingchen year, Dingyou, Bingzi, Jiawu, what is your luck this year?

People in the world, whether they are Chinese or foreigners, all want to know their future and past. There are many ways to do this. The most common one is fortune telling. There are indeed many people who practice Buddhism. Leave these methods behind. Does fortune-telling have a magical effect? ??"Liaofan's Four Trainings" tells us that fortune-telling is a real spiritual force. Why? As long as people have thoughts, they can count. People who are proficient in mathematics can rely on your birth date and horoscope. The birth date and horoscope must be correct without a little error. If there is a little error, it will be inaccurate. Most of the errors are in the time. The year, month and day are generally not wrong, and when was the person born. One hour in China is two hours long. For example, the difference between Zi hour and Zi hour is different. Such subtle differences are not easy to remember clearly. So some calculations are very accurate, and some calculations are not accurate. The accurate calculation is that the time is accurate.

Do Buddhists need fortune telling? The Buddha taught us many truths in the sutras, "Appearances arise from the heart, circumstances change with the heart, and all dharma arises from the thoughts of the heart." This is all from the sutras. We are all familiar with what is often said. If we really understand this truth, do we still need to calculate it? No. The Buddha and Bodhisattvas teach us that the Buddha often said this in the Hinayana Sutra, and it is very clear in the Sutra of Ananda Asking the Buddha about Good and Bad Things. Why do we understand good and bad fortunes, and how can we avoid evil and pursue good fortune? This is human nature. Normally, this Buddha has no objection.

Buddha told us that as long as your mentality is good, why? It will change as you wish. The body changes with the mind, and the environment changes with the mind. As long as the mind is good, nothing is bad; bad things can be turned into good things, bad things can be turned into good fortune, and disasters can be turned into good fortune. Everyone has this ability, regardless of gender, old or young, everyone has it, but we are just confused and don’t know how to use it. Buddhism tells us that the ancient great sages often talked about changing the mind, which means changing the mind. Nowadays, when people talk about mentality, the ancients used a heart to say, to change the mind and correct the bad mind. Now we say that as long as all your thoughts are kind and your thoughts, words and decisions are not selfish, your disaster will be gone and the disaster will be far away from you.

Nian Nian has no self. Nian Nian, what is the purpose of our life in this world and why do we come here? The Buddha told us in the scriptures that if karma dominates, you have to come. The karma created in the past life is called "reward karma in life". This is what the Buddha said in the sutra, and it is absolutely correct. Now that we have come to the human world, what should we do? We must change our karma. We must stay away from unwholesome karma and specialize in good karma. Not only do we cultivate good karma, but we also cultivate pure karma. Cultivating good deeds will bring blessings to humans and gods. We now understand that the blessings to humans and gods cannot go beyond the six paths of reincarnation. There will be too many troublesome things in the future. We can no longer do this thing. This thing cannot be done, so we must cultivate pure karma.

What is pure karma? Cutting off evil and cultivating good deeds. There is no selfishness, no fame and fortune, no five desires and six dusts, no greed, anger, stupidity and pride. This good karma is pure karma. Pure karma can help us transcend the three realms and the six realms. Those who practice pure karma and recite the Buddha's name determine whether they will be reborn in the pure land. This is what we must grasp. Especially in middle age and above, half of life is over, and you should wake up and decide not to do stupid things again. The "Diamond Sutra" teaches us to learn "no self, no one, no sentient beings, and no lifespan." We should be able to do it, that is, don't take these things to heart. I used to always care about myself, but now I learn to care about others and not think about myself. Why? Others are myself, and I am the same as others. Dividing oneself from others is an ordinary person in the six realms. If one is not divided between oneself and others, then one transcends the six realms.

Think about it, benefiting others really benefits yourself, and caring about yourself really harms yourself. Why? Increase your ego. Self-grasping is fake, not real. Buddhism teaches you to break self-grasping. If you are increasing your self-grasping every day, is it okay? You are wrong! So you have to put me down and serve others wholeheartedly. , today we talk about serving the suffering sentient beings, studying for the righteous Dharma forever, studying hard for a long time, studying hard, living for the righteous Dharma for a long time, dedicating all merits to all sentient beings, and helping all sentient beings with all our heart. This is right.

In this way, if the self-attachment is not broken, it will naturally fade away. If it fades away for a long time, it will disappear unconsciously. Therefore, Buddhism teaches us to know fate. What is fate? Fate is karma, which is creation. Look at what we think, say, and do every day. This is karma. This is our mentality, behavior, and heart behavior. If your mental behavior corresponds to the ten good karma and the four virtues mentioned in "Returning the Source", then good! There will be no disasters. There is no need to tell fortunes or read fortunes anymore. Your future is bright. bright. Indeed, this kind of mental behavior will definitely turn misfortune into good fortune, and adversity into good fortune. This is called truly understanding destiny and changing destiny.
