Questions about I Ching Feng Shui

Chinese metaphysics has a long history, and it cannot be said to be completely deceptive. The I Ching is only a part of metaphysics.

In ancient China, people actually pursued a macro culture, which was different from the micro culture of the West. Macro culture cannot be made into standard data or industrial processes like today's micro culture, such as current anatomy, X-ray, etc. However, macro culture has the advantages of macro culture in that it is more flexible and free. For example, people with advanced medical skills can diagnose by looking, smelling, asking, and inquiring in traditional Chinese medicine without using any instruments.

However, in the macro culture, there are few detailed instructions and standards. The spread basically relies on spiritual understanding, which is closely related to the learner’s personal understanding. Therefore, this macro culture has gradually moved towards mysticism. .

Fortune telling is a typical example of vulgarity in the specific application of Chinese macro-culture, but this does not mean that it is completely deceptive. Let me give you two real examples. I have seen them with my own eyes and I can swear that they are absolutely true.

1. Li, deceased. Around 1997, when Li was 69 years old, he was diagnosed with lung cancer in the hospital and was given a maximum life expectancy of 2 or 3 months. Her daughter asked her husband to tell her fortune and was told that Mr. Li had a life expectancy of 73 years. To tell you the truth, my husband carefully calculated and said: Life span increases and decreases, and there may be discrepancies. But if he (Li) can live past the third day of May this year (lunar calendar), I guarantee that he will live past 73.

At around 11pm on the second day of May, Li died of illness.

2. Gao, deputy village chief. The party branch secretary is Gao’s close brother. After Gao entered the village government, he rose to prominence and had a successful career. In the first month of a certain year, my husband told fortunes and said: You will have a bad few years. Judging from the divination, there will be disasters in both hospitals (hospitals and courts), and the best outcome will be dismissal from office. After all, even the husband himself doesn’t believe it. In autumn, Gao was on duty. Because of a quarrel with his wife, he was angry and visited his uncle's house. The village government was on fire. Gao was absent from duty and became the most responsible person for this incident, so he was immediately dismissed from his post.

3. Tan, my neighbor in my hometown. He is about 45 years old, married and has four daughters and one son. The fortune teller said: "You have a son and a daughter now, but when you were young, you were a bit romantic and not very serious!" Mrs. Tan was also there, so she denied it. My husband said, "Forget it if you don't admit it, but I still have to say that she is in the southwest of your home." At that time, I thought that my husband was lying, but later I heard from my father that it was indeed true. About 20 years ago, Tan got along with an unmarried woman named Su after marriage. This matter was very secret and few neighbors knew about it.

In the above three examples, the fortune teller is all the same person. I have known him for nearly 20 years, but in these 20 years, it is rare for him to calculate so accurately. He himself said that sometimes, he could not read or understand the calculated code.

Fortune telling is not a lie, but examples like the ones I mentioned above are rare because few people can master Chinese metaphysics well. Therefore, the so-called metaphysics research of the Book of Changes now, Either the research method is wrong, or it is simply a disguise to deceive people.

In addition, most Chinese metaphysics are good at "taking lessons after the fact", that is, calculating things in the past more accurately.

In my personal opinion, the Chinese I-Ching Research Institute should be an institution that studies the "I-Ching" from an academic perspective and brings Chinese traditional culture into a dead end, right?
