It can be said that it marks a new page in China's financial history. No.7 Zhongshan 1st Road, Dabei Telegraph Company Building, Renaissance style building. The architecture pays attention to unity, symmetry and stability, and the facade decoration is very particular. Waibaidu Bridge is located on the Suzhou River between Zhongshan Dongyi Road and Dongdaming Road on the west side of Huangpu Park. Russian Consulate General is located on the north side of Waibaidu Bridge, at the intersection of Suzhou River and Huangpu River. The building was built in 19 16, with an area of 1700 square meters and a building area of 3,264 square meters. It has four floors and an attic. The lower part is placed underground, and the ground is 2 meters high. There are classical double columns on both sides of the gate, circular arch and flat arch window frames on the second and third floors, and pilasters between the windows. The roof is a double-folded four-slope, arc-shaped pointed window. On the west side of the roof is a two-story watchtower, a green iron dome, a bank along the river, and a hexagonal pavilion on the east side, which can enjoy the scenery at the intersection of Huangpu River and Suzhou River. The weather signal station is one of the landmark buildings on the Bund, and it is listed as a national key protected building. 1884, the Xujiahui Observatory founded by the French Catholic Church set up a meteorological signal station on the Bund of Pidgin (now the Bund of Yan 'an East Road). The signal station is a long wooden pole erected on the ground. According to the meteorological information from the Observatory, a cylindrical meteorological signal was reconstructed at 1907. The platform system is 50 meters high and the tower is 36.8 meters high, which is called "Atangpo" building. In order to protect this building, in the renovation project of 1993, the Bund moved 20 meters eastward.
