One-grip gesture
Whether it is holding the club with the right hand or the left hand The position of the club and grip is very important. If you hold it properly, you can hit the ball easily and smoothly. This is the first important factor in starting to play billiards and should not be underestimated.
First, find the center of gravity of the club by pinching the thumb and index finger together to make a circle or a hook, putting the club inside the circle, and then pushing the club left and right to adjust it. Until it is balanced, the position of the fingers on the club is the center of gravity of the club. Then move 20 to 30 centimeters from this center of gravity to the tail of the club. This part is the appropriate position for holding the club. If there are special playing needs, you can also move forward and backward to adjust the grip position.
When holding the club, do not hold it too tightly, otherwise the muscles in your hands and wrists will be tense, your arms will be stiff, and you will not be able to slide the club smoothly to hit the ball. When holding the club in your right hand, gently pinch it with your thumb and index finger at the tiger's mouth. The club is like a hanging ring. The front part of the hand is actually holding the club, that is: the thumb and the first two fingers. The other two fingers are held empty, and the little finger is wrapped around the bottom of the club. It mainly cooperates with the control of the club. The balance is stable and keeps the club moving in a straight line.
2. Rod holder gestures
There are various supports made for the ball with your hands, called hand rod holders, poles or stands, etc. Wait in Taiwan or on the shelf. Its important role is often overlooked in the sport of billiards. To ensure the accuracy of the shot, it must be supported by a natural and stable rod frame, which can accurately guide the cue to perform the shot.
1. Flat-back pole gesture: First straighten your left palm, press the palm down on the table surface, spread your fingers as far apart as possible, and grasp the tablecloth tightly to form a wide and strong stable The base of the club frame, then the palm is slightly arched, the thumb is close to the index finger and raised, a groove will appear between the index finger and the thumb, and the club can be placed on the groove to move freely. If you need to adjust the height, you can flatten your fingers and lower your palm, or arch and raise it to meet the needs of hitting the ball. This kind of pole stand has a low height and is suitable for pocket billiards with smaller ball diameters.
2. Phoenix-eye pole-standing hand gesture: In order to make it easy to understand and practice, this gesture is now broken down into individual actions and illustrated as follows:
(1) Place your left hand flat Place it on the table top, palm down, and make a slight bend inward from your wrist to your fingertips.
(2) The little finger, ring finger and middle finger are rotated and arched inward at the same time. The left side of the palm is pressed on the table, and the three fingers form a supporting gesture.
(3) When the left hand is close to a right angle to the direction of the club, pinch the tips of the thumb and index finger of the left hand together.
(4) After the thumb and index finger form a circle, you can insert the club into the circle to support the club when hitting the ball. If you need to adjust the height, just stretch or arch your middle finger to adjust. Because this type of pole has a high frame, it is mostly used for billiards with large ball diameters.
3. V-shaped pole gesture: If there is a ball behind the cue ball that causes a hitting obstacle, the club must be raised in order not to touch the blocking ball. The closer the cue ball and the blocking ball are, the closer the cue ball is to the blocking ball. , the more difficult it is to hit the cue ball well. If the cue ball is close to the ball, the hand holding the ball should be closer and the angle should be steeper. In order to hit the cue ball, the relative hittable part will be very small. If you don't hit well, you have to slide.
Put your four fingers up, support them behind the blocking ball, lift your thumb as much as possible, and place the club in the V-shaped groove formed between the thumb and index finger. When hitting the ball, the club Sliding along the groove, the club handle can be raised if needed for hitting the ball. This is an uncomfortable kind of club stand, but it is very important and is not impossible. You should practice your supporting fingers regularly until you can support the club firmly and forcefully.
4. Tableside pole gestures: Due to the changing positions of the ball and different playing styles, it is impossible to rely on a few commonly used standard pole gestures to be omnipotent, so the pole gestures are not perfect. It may be the same, but it is diverse and has a variety of names.
Three body postures
No matter what sport you play, the most important thing is to lay a correct foundation. For billiards, the most important foundation is the posture of hitting the ball. If the posture is incorrect, the direction of the ball will be impossible to grasp. If the posture is incorrect, the rotation of the ball will also be incorrect, and of course it will be difficult to improve your golf skills. Of course, the so-called correct posture varies from person to person, because everyone's height, arm and foot length are different. Of course, there is no mandatory standard posture. However, we must use the correct method to make a series of movements before hitting the ball. The position of the feet (to balance the center of gravity of the body), the bridge (the posture of supporting the club with the left hand), the correct way to hold the club, and the position of the face (correct Aiming method), whipping action (preparatory action before hitting the ball correctly) and other comprehensive basic postures are natural and comfortable.
The so-called correct posture is one that is extremely natural and without any artificiality, and the center of gravity of the body is stable and stable. The following will explain each basic movement separately. They are all the basis for playing pool well. I hope beginners can understand the key points and practice the correct posture that suits them best so that they can become accustomed to it.
1. Bend your arms at a 90° angle.
2. When holding the pole, relax your wrist, with the tiger's mouth facing down, and hold the four fingers slightly.
3. Avoid opening your feet too far apart or too close together. Keep your center of gravity stable and your body posture natural and relaxed.
4. Before hitting the ball, keep the grip, bridge, cue ball and target ball in a straight line, and then start a smooth whipping motion to prepare for the hit.
5. The club must be directly below the center of the face (chin), so that the three points of the bridge, chin, and club grip are in a straight line.
6. The club must be aimed at the correct point of impact.
