The Significance of Public Schools in Southern Shaanxi

2009 is the 60th anniversary of the establishment of Southern Shaanxi Public College (1the inaugural meeting was held on February 25th, 949), and it is also the 60th anniversary of the establishment of Southward Service Corps (1the Sichuan Cadre Team was renamed Southward Service Corps on August 28th, 949). The Southern Shaanxi Public School, founded by the CPC Southern Shaanxi Committee for the liberation, absorption and training of cadres in southern Shaanxi, experienced two stages, Yunyang and Nanzheng, from1February, 949 to1May, 950, and ran three phases, which trained nearly 3,000 cadres for the army and local governments. These cadres went south with the army to participate in the southwest liberation and stayed in southern Shaanxi to participate in revolutionary work.

Southern Shaanxi University is one of more than 20 colleges founded in China during the Liberation War, and it is an outstanding representative of the work of our party and army in southern Shaanxi. Although its existence is not long, only 1.5 years, its development, like the "eight-character school spirit" and "thirty-six-character school motto", not only embodies the scientific direction of communist society, but also embodies the spirit of dedication to communism and proletarian revolution.
