If the child's walking gait is really deformed, it needs to be corrected slowly. Depending on the severity, it will take 2 to 3 years or even longer. Of course, the sooner you wear orthopedic shoes and orthopedic braces, the better. Some serious cases can't be corrected, and surgery is still needed.
