Second, the main line connects the 8-character ring
The connection between the main line and the 8-shaped ring is shown in the figure below.
This is the method with the highest knot strength, which is specially used to connect the main line and the 8-shaped ring, and has also been widely used by competitive anglers in recent years. But even if there is no problem with the quality of the figure-eight ring, the tensile strength loss at the figure-eight ring is the biggest under normal use. This kind of wear is not a simple "grinding", but a fishing line fatigue caused by repeated deformation.
The simple countermeasure to deal with this problem is: after using the large wire several times, cut a little at both ends and shorten it before using it-for example, from 4.5M to 3.9 m.
Third, the sub-line is connected to the 8-character ring.
When tying a knot, the thread must be "smooth", and the thread cannot pile up into a ball after knotting.
The tension of this method is higher than that in the above picture, but the verticality of the sub-line and the main line is not good after this knot is tied. Fortunately, with the weight of hook and bait, this problem is not obvious in actual fishing.
Fourth, the connection between lines
At present, fishing lines are mostly connected by connectors, such as 8-shaped rings, quick pins and other connecting devices, and few wires are directly connected by knots. However, when going fishing, it is very useful to master these things and solve problems in an emergency.
Not only that, these knots may sometimes come in handy in daily life.
The figure below shows a better method of connecting lines. With this knot, the knot strength of the wire can reach 95% of the straight strength.
This knotting method is relatively simple and firm, but after knotting, the two ends of the thread are not in a straight line, and the two ends are slightly bent.
