Color is empty, empty is color, color is empty, empty is color.

This paragraph is very important. It is the essence and essence of the Heart Sutra. If we can really figure this out, we will be enlightened. Therefore, we should never tire of repeating this truth.

Let's talk about this color first. Color refers to the six dusts, namely, color, sound, fragrance, taste, touch and method. Six dusts can be divided into three colors. The first color is called visible color. "Yes" means that you can face us and we can get in touch with it. "Visible" means that our eyes can see it. The first dust in the six dusts-color dust, refers to this color, which has a phase. Such as the length of Fiona Fang, green, yellow, red and white, men and women, old and young, mountains and rivers, vegetation jungle, food and shelter and so on. Can be seen and touched.

The second color is "visible". The eyes can't see it, but they can feel it and touch it. This is sound, smell, taste and touch. Our eyes can't see the sound, but our ears can hear it. We can distinguish music, car horns, voices, laughter and scolding. Our eyes can't see the fragrance and odor, but our noses can tell it, and we can also tell what it is, such as orchid fragrance, osmanthus fragrance, rose fragrance and so on. Sweet and sour, spicy and salty, etc. You can't see it with your eyes, but you can taste it with your tongue. Touch is contact, such as cold and warm, dry and wet. You will feel it through physical contact. When the body comes into contact with cold air, it will feel cold; Contact with hot air will make you feel hot. Sound, fragrance, taste and touch are all "visible and invisible" colors.

The third is the "invisible" color. The eyes can neither see nor touch, which is "Dharma". Law is one of the six dusts, and it is the shadow of color, sound, fragrance and taste in front of it. It is the color that our eyes see, the sound that our ears hear, the smell that our noses smell, the ups and downs that our tongues taste, and the external environment that our bodies come into contact with. The shadow of all these things falls into our sixth sense (that is, the brain) and becomes consciousness. This is the law dust. This law dust is neither visible nor right.

As can be seen from the above, "color" includes color, sound, fragrance and touching six dusts. Where did the six dusts come from? As I said just now, it comes from the eyes, ears, nose, tongue, body and heart. Six dust and six eyes, ears, nose, tongue and body are all color. As for the root of meaning, it is the ideological distinction produced by various color boundaries, which has no phase and seems to belong to the mental method, not the color method. But every thought has a phase, so it is inseparable from the color method. Therefore, this "color" includes all our external and internal aspects, as well as the non-phase of our hearts. All these colors are no different, because all these colors have no self-nature, and they are all combined by karma. Nothing can be done without reason; Cause, no cause, nothing. The emptiness mentioned in Buddhist scriptures is a "karma method", that is, no birth, no birth, no symbiosis, not no cause.

Non-autogenesis means that light has a main cause, without which nothing will be produced. For example, we grow cotton only for the main reason-cotton seeds, but not for other reasons, such as soil, sunshine, moisture, fertilizer, etc., so cotton will not grow. This is called unborn. No, it's natural, that is, although it has its destiny, it can't be born without the main cause. Although there is sunshine, moisture, soil and fertilizer, how can cotton grow without cottonseed? It's not natural. No symbiosis, not a combination of two aspects. If Party A and Party B are combined, is it Party A or Party B? Besides, A and B have no subjects at all, so there can't be two sides! Because A is also born of karma, and B is also born of karma, and karma determines karma, and there is no subject at all. For example, a man meets a woman and gives birth to a child. So, is it mainly the man or the woman? If the man is the subject, the man's body has no subject. Because this body is a combination of four mistakes. The four elements are earth, water, fire and wind. We often say that "everything is empty", that is to say, we are only four complexes of earth, fire, water and wind, and there is no subject. It is earth, fire, water and wind that will stay together for a period of time and become people. The karma is scattered, the four major forces are scattered, and people die. The man is like this, and the woman is no exception. Neither of them has a subject. Everything in the world is the same, and it is a combination of karma. When men and women meet, the children born are still synthesized by karma. So it's called non-symbiosis. There is no cause, that is, there is no main cause, no internal cause and no external cause, and things cannot be done. There must be a main reason, an internal cause and an external cause, all of which can be combined. In other words, everything needs karma and combination. Since it is karma and combination, there is no self-nature, so when the body is empty.

Speaking of space, we have discussed it before. Most people think that "emptiness" is relative emptiness, that is, stubborn emptiness and broken emptiness. The emptiness mentioned in Buddhism means the emptiness of the body and the emptiness of Buddhism, because there is no self-nature. However, as a monk, due to different roots, the understanding of "emptiness" is also different. Such as Mahayana Lohan, Vishnu Buddha, etc. The analysis method is empty, and the Mahayana Chumen Bodhisattva is empty with its posture, which is not established. The "emptiness" mentioned by the Great Bodhisattva and Buddha is a wonderful vacuum consistent with emptiness. As we said just now, all hues are caused by karma and have no self-nature, so it is called emptiness, which is the origin of emptiness. Next, we will further explain why there is a vacuum.

As I said before, everything in the world is visible and visible, so it is vivid. Since it is vivid, visible and accessible, why is it "empty"? Isn't this the real "yes"? We say that all colors can be formed because of our self-nature, which is expressed by our wonderful body in a vacuum. Look at all the things in the world, not made by the thoughts of our brains and the operation of our hands and feet. Whose function is the brain to conceive hands and feet to operate? For example, the reason why our eyes can see things and hue is not what our eyes can see. Modern scientists also say that the eyes can't see, but the function of the brain. The optic nerve of the brain is broken, so the eyes can't see. This is only half right. If it's all the function of the brain, when we can't get up and die in one breath, this eye and brain are still there. Why can't we see anything? It serves to show that there is something worth seeing, and this is Buddha nature. The brain and eyes are like wires and light bulbs. Even if it's all installed, it won't work without electricity. Buddha's nature, like electricity, is a great driving force. Only when it works can we see things. It depends on the performance of things, which is called "visibility"-visibility. Once a person dies, what we call Buddha nature leaves this body, this body. Although his eyes and brain are still there and not broken, he can't see. Therefore, what you can see is called "seeing", what you can smell is called "smelling", what you can smell is called "smelling", what you can taste is called "character", and so on. This is called "Zhengzhi (Buddha nature), which is divided into six parts (eyes, ears, nose, tongue, body and mind)." Therefore, everything is inseparable from sex, and nothing can be done without sex.

The Shurangama Sutra clearly says: "Sex is empty and true." This personality is a wonderful vacuum, it is naked, spotless, without any form, and it seems that something is missing. This vacuum universe is the main body to construct and realize all colors. In other words, this void is not an empty void, but a wonderful void with a vacuum. Because all the colors are displayed by the wonderful body in a vacuum, and they are all displayed by our self. Without self, there is no hue. So all hues are self-nature, and self-nature is hue. Self-nature without phase is an empty vacuum, and hue is an empty wonderful thing. All colors are no different from a wonderful vacuum. But people in the world are often obsessed with color as a realistic image, fascinated and unbreakable. Buddha sympathizes with all sentient beings, teaches us to recognize the truth, and emphatically points out that "there is no difference between color and emptiness, and there is no difference between emptiness and color". The so-called no difference means no difference. Why is it "a sexual vacuum, empty and true"? Because of the emptiness of sex, hue can be displayed. If sex is not empty, it becomes a colored entity with a phase, and the phase cannot be displayed. Why? For a simple example, if our house is empty, we can move into tables, big cabinets and so on. On the contrary, this room is so full of things that there is no room for anything to move in. Therefore, the sexual body is vacuum-free, showing all colors and achieving wonderful stages in different ways.

Because self-nature is invisible, it is also called wonderful body. It can't be found in any part of the body. Once the brain hole is opened, it can't be found. I can't even find it by dissecting the body and cutting open the heart. It's not in my head or my heart, it's gone, it's gone. In other words, sex is invisible and invisible. Although everything in front of us can be seen through its visibility, who can see its own visibility? Because the eyes can only see things with pictures, this is one of them. Second, the eyes can only see what is opposite, but they can't see without eyes. For example, can our eyes see our own eyes? Because it is not opposite to the eyes, it cannot be seen. Self-nature is absolute sincerity, not relative, so it cannot be seen. If you see it, it's not true.

Sex is invisible and invisible. Therefore, sex is a vacuum. Although it is a vacuum, it can be used to deal with it. In other words, it can recognize and distinguish what this is and what that is after facing the environment. Therefore, sex is beautiful, not stubborn. When "Look at Nature" distinguishes all colors through eyes, all colors appear. For example, when we see a person, how do you know that it is a person and not something else? How do you know if it's a man or a woman, Zhang San or Li Si? This person's face is completely represented by the difference of consciousness. Since hue is expressed through sex, hue is sex. From this, we can see that the six characteristics of sight, smell, smell, taste, feeling and knowledge work through the eyes, ears, nose, tongue, body and heart, thus showing all colors, that is, six dusts. Therefore, all color harmony phenomena are sexual manifestations. Color is inseparable from sex, and sex is inseparable from color. There is no color without sex, and there is no sex without color.

Some people may ask, if we take "visibility" as an example, which comes first, hue or visibility? We might as well analyze and study it. If we say that there is sight before hue, then there is sight before hue. But without color, what can you see? How can you say "see"? The so-called outsider can only see what it is, because it looks at what it is. If it is colorless, where does it play the role of "seeing"? Therefore, "visibility" can only show its visible function from hue. On the other hand, if you color first and then look at it, then the color should be in front and the look should be behind. However, if you don't see the color, how can you display the color? Since I haven't seen it, how do I know what color it is? In other words, without "seeing", where did this hue come from? Everyone didn't see it, so although there was color, there was no color and it couldn't be shown. So sex and phase are inseparable. "Seeing sex" is like this, so are other functions such as smell, taste, perception and knowledge. Therefore, color is to sex, and sex is to color, and the two cannot be separated. We said before that the noumenon of sex is empty, so what is the difference between the noumenon of color and emptiness? So there is no difference between color and space, that is, there is no difference between color and space, and there is no difference between space and color.

We often say that Buddhism is the only way, that's what we mean. Everything is the only way. Because it is one and two, two and one. If you say it's one, it's two; You said two, and another one. This is an organic whole and cannot be separated. If you must part, you will go astray. We repeatedly use water and waves as examples. Water and waves are also one, because water and waves are wet. Water is a static phase, and waves are in motion. Water makes waves because of the wind, and the phase changes from static to phase. They look different, but they are all one. So it is one and two, two and one. So do mirrors and shadows. No matter what material or style is used, as long as it is a mirror, it can be developed. If it cannot be developed, it is not a mirror. Because the mirror does not leave the shadow, the shadow does not leave the mirror, the mirror is the shadow, and the shadow is the mirror, so it is called the only way. As for us, from birth, as soon as we have knowledge, we take all the images of mountains, rivers, the earth and the universe revealed by sex as reality and catch shadows. That is to say, I only know the shadow, but I don't know that the shadow is exposed by mirror light, and I don't know this mirror light. If we can know the mirror light, we can also know the Buddha nature. Why? Because shadows come and go, life and death, and the mirror light is always there. When the mirror comes, it is a cat, and when it comes, it is a dog. Shadows come and go, life and death, but the mirror light never changes. All landscapes, such as mountains and rivers, are also shadows in constant silence. We often say that "the sea has changed", now it is the sea, and it can become a mulberry field in the future; This used to be a mulberry garden, but now it has become the sea. For example, Yunnan in China used to be a sea, but now it has become a mountain and a field. Although these colors and shadows in the mirror are constantly changing, they come and go, and there is life and death. But the mirror light, like the sexual body, does not live or die, if it does not move.

Without a mirror, you can't show your shadow; You can't be a mirror without a shadow. In other words, sex is inseparable from hue, and hue is inseparable from sex. So sex is color, and color is sex. This truth is the only way for Buddhism. This can be seen through, that is, seeing nature clearly. Don't think it is more difficult to see sex clearly, only saints can prove it. Monks are often frightened by the word "see nature clearly" and think it is unattainable and beyond the reach of modern people. Therefore, when it comes to understanding, it becomes pale and afraid to approach. I believe that ordinary people can't reach this state, and we can only live in the western paradise by pure land Sect and chanting Buddha. This is the way out. Wait until you go to the western paradise and listen to the Buddha's statement before you can see your heart clearly. In today's women's world, it is impossible to see sex clearly. This is true for both men and women in general. Because in the last days of Dharma, all sentient beings were rooted in obstacles, it is really difficult to achieve spiritual practice in this woman's world. However, in the end of the law era, there was also legalism. It's not that people who don't have roots can't be treated uniformly, but they push their thoughts to the sacred land and dare not bear them. Through the above repeated truth, we will understand that the understanding of nature is not elsewhere, just in front of your eyes, just where you can see, smell, do and do it. When you look back, you will realize that this gnosis is your own Buddha nature, and you will complete your lifelong studies. All sentient beings can see and hear, so all sentient beings are Buddhas. This universal wisdom has not decreased in everything, and has never increased in holiness. Since all sentient beings can see and smell and have the wisdom of the Tathagata, don't push the awareness of mind to the sacred land, thinking that it is unattainable. As long as you can see and smell in these eight functions, you can know who you can see and who you can smell. You will be sure at first sight, then you will not doubt, and then you can keep your work secret. Don't let it be stained with color, forever misty. Only when you remember, will you feel broken; As soon as I landed, I immediately turned around. If you don't follow your inner thoughts and move around outside, why don't you prove Bodhi!

Self-nature is a vacuum body without phase. There is nothing to live in, and the hue is empty, so there is no need to take it, and there is no need for pain. "The Diamond Sutra" says: "See the Buddha when you see the difference." If you understand the truth of the sexual vacuum, you won't fall on the sexual dust, and you won't be swayed and shaken by it. Being a winner by yourself, not being fooled and dominated by servants, not living in various situations, not clinging to everything, and always watching closely, you can enter the realm of understanding and seeing nature.

As we said before, all situations are self-expression. Without self-expression, there is no situation, and there is no way to see any situation. Because of "seeing sex", you can see hue. Since seeing is seeing and seeing is seeing, then seeing is sex and sex is sex. And sex is true, so is hue. "Hokkekyo" said: "It is the law that is in the legal position and always exists in the world." It is said that all the phases in the world are revealed by their nature, which is true, so the phases are not empty, but eternal. As mentioned above, the eyes can only see things in the same phase, and they must be opposite to the eyes. But sex is impersonal and absolutely eternal, so how to treat sex? Because all colors are self-expression, all colors are yourself, and you are all colors. There is no heart outside the color and no color outside the heart. Only by truly understanding this truth can we truly understand that seeing is seeing, and seeing is seeing. Therefore, Zen master Dahui Gaozong once said that seeing the Tao with the naked eye is the real way to see the Tao. It's just that the mind sees the Tao, not the truth That's the reason.

Without sex, nothing can be revealed. On the other hand, without all colors, how can we see this impersonal nature? All these colors are the manifestation of yourself and the incarnation of yourself. We usually think that the avatar is a person who can change Qian Qian's various doppelgangers and show unusual magical functions. This is all because we don't know the truth. We don't understand that everything and all colors are our embodiment. We have given an example earlier. The white clouds in the sky have become pale dogs, lions and mountains because of the wind. Although it has an ever-changing form, it is still a white cloud. Similarly, there are various hues in the world, but they are all manifestations of Buddha's nature and changes of self-nature. The teacher said: "The three realms are idealistic, and all laws are just knowledge." The so-called omnipotent method is all hue. "Dharma" has a wide range of meanings in Buddhism, not only hue, but also our thoughts. All this is inseparable from the role of knowing God, that is, knowing everything, knowing God is a wonderful use of self! Self-nature is like water, and knowledge of God is like waves. Wave is water, and water is wave, which are all wonderful uses of self. Everything has its purpose, which can show various colors and play various roles. By the same token, if everything is not used together, how do you know there is a body? Body is the principle, and interoperability is the thing. The reason is obvious, and the reason is successful. For example, the tape recorder in front of us was invented after repeated thinking, analysis and research, repeated experiments and continuous improvement, and finally mastered the laws of objective things. This is the wonderful use of self-knowledge, which is why it is called omniscient. Reason and things are interdependent and inseparable. Sex and color, space and color are the same. This is the only way for Buddhism. Really understand this truth, the naked eye can see the road! You won't be confused by hue, so you can change the habit of clinging to the material environment and recognizing falsehood as true, and you can learn about nature-self through falsehood. This is the true enlightenment and thorough understanding of nature.

In ancient times, Dade once compared the third order of Bodhi to a man of practice: seeing mountains is mountains and seeing water is water. Wrong view); Seeing mountains is not mountains, and seeing water is not water. Empty view); See mountains or mountains, see water or water (completely depends on sex. Medium view). That's the truth. The reason why we take pains to talk about the unique method repeatedly here is because it is very important and is the essence and essence of Heart Sutra. Only by truly understanding this truth can we enter the realm of understanding nature.

Let's talk about it. Why did the Buddha say "color is empty", then said "empty is color", and further said "color is empty, and empty is color"? Because these sentences are not only different in content, but also different in object and subtle in meaning, they go deeper and gradually improve in level.

"Same color" is for ordinary people. Ordinary people are obsessed with pictures and things, thinking that everything is real and insatiable, so there is no difference in colors, and they teach everyone to be sober and understand, and not to be obsessed with all colors. Even if you spend your whole life and try your best to pursue it, you will still get nothing in the end. On the contrary, it will be rewarded with death, and it is not worthwhile to suffer from reincarnation in vain.

"Nothing is different in color" is for the square. Because the second rider holds an empty hand, he thinks that there is space outside the color and the space is colored, so he abandons the color and leaves it blank. They think that ordinary people can't live and die because they are obsessed with color, created by things, troubled and painful, and retribution for karma. If you want to live or die, you must stay away from this erotic body. Therefore, you must break away from "people cling to me", break things and remain empty. I don't know that there is "emptiness", but there is still. And stick to the empty edge, this empty will become a life-and-death pattern. I stay on the edge of this trap. Although I lost my life and death, I didn't go to the six divisions of the wheel of karma. But I feel uncomfortable because I hold my breath, but I don't see Dharma. I still have life and death changes, so I don't really see sex, and I don't know Dharma. Therefore, the Buddha said that "emptiness is colorless and different" and measured it to make them know that emptiness is different from color, and they should not hold empty waste, thus judging Bodhi.

Although the word "different" has no difference or different meaning, it always seems that there are two things, not one. So the Buddha immediately said categorically: "color is empty, and empty is color." This is a broken bodhisattva color, and there are two opinions in the air. Although Bodhisattva knows two kinds of color and emptiness, after all, "no two kinds" is still not an inseparable body in terms of comparison between the two. Therefore, the Buddha is merciful and eager to break the bodhisattva, and further clearly points out that color is empty and empty is color. Color and space are not two individuals, and there are no two. Color and space are integrated and completely consistent, and color space is "integrated". Although there are many different phases, phase is sex and sex is phase; Color is empty, and empty is color. The Buddha taught us to distinguish the truth clearly, and not to mistake harmony, color and emptiness for roughly the same two things, but to pursue desire and go astray. We practitioners really understand the truth that color and emptiness coexist, and we will also understand that emptiness in Mahayana Buddhism is not stubborn emptiness, but a wonderful vacuum. Because the nature is empty and the body is empty, the phase is illusory and impossible to obtain. Therefore, don't cling to the desire for various shades, but be swayed by considerations of gain and loss. What is wonderful? Mountains and rivers, mountains and rivers, and all kinds of colors are manifestations of self-nature. All colors are yourself, and you are all colors. "Everything is made by heart." Don't be different in hue, be persistent, use it with fate, and don't give up. This is great! Only when we really understand that color and emptiness are two different things, and seeing each other is to see the truth of nature, can we see our own nature through all colors. Seeing sex means seeing each other, so you can use it wonderfully, make it lucky, make it bright and comfortable, and prove Bodhi.

Some people don't understand that mountains and rivers are "the world" and are unconscious. How can they have Buddha nature? Buddha nature is conscious! He doesn't know that this mountain and river is originally the "separation" among our eight senses. The functions of the eight senses are divided into four categories, namely differentiation, self-identity and self-identity. This is what Xiangzong said. In fact, Xiangzong and Xingzong are one. Buddha said: "The three realms are idealistic, and all laws are only knowledgeable." Then, the Bodhisattva who teaches Dharma takes "Three Realms Idealism" as the natural sect and "omniscient" as the relative sect. From interoperability to sexuality, it is called breaking encounter, that is, sexuality. From sex to interoperability, it is the wonderful use of vacuum, which is called the great use of machine, that is, mutual affection. Sex Sect and phase Sect are one, phase is sex, and sex is phase. We will talk about the division of the eight senses of the same clan, the division of seeing, the division of self-nature, and the division of self-nature.

As we have already introduced, the five colors mentioned in the Heart Classic include eleven colors, that is, five roots and six dusts. Thinking, action and cognition are psychological methods. By thinking about two aggregations, take 5 1 heart. There are 24 different methods used in the production line. Knowledge aggregates eight mind kings, and eight mind kings are eight knowledge. Therefore, there are 94 kinds of color mind methods, all of which are promising methods. Plus six non-color, non-heart and non-line methods, it adds up to 100 methods. This 100 law is the essence of Xiangzong's "hundred laws and disciplines". The Buddha said 84,000 Dharmas. Maitreya practiced by "knowing the great", and after his success, he reduced his practice from 84,000 to 660. Because we Jambu-Di^pa people are relatively poor, especially in the last law era, we think that the 84 thousand law is too complicated to understand and remember clearly. Therefore, Maitreya's compassion has been reduced from 84,000 dharma circles to 660 dharma circles after finishing. The Indian Bodhisattva entered the "Maitreya Inner Court" during meditation, and after listening to Maitreya's "In the Land of Yogis", he talked about 660 dharmas and condensed them into 100 dharma. Because these two bodhisattvas have done the work of simplifying the complex and making the difficult easy, we young people can easily understand and believe it. Maitreya Bodhisattva, Nirvana Bodhisattva, is really boundless in compassion and merits. Otherwise, 84 thousand's practice is so complicated, where can you understand it, how can you be trusted and followed?

Heart Sutra is only 260 words, concise and rich in meaning. Including all 100 dharma without teachers, 660 dharma of Maitreya Bodhisattva, and even 84,000 dharma of Sakyamuni Buddha. It is really "mustard seed"! In other words, the five aggregates mentioned in the Heart Sutra can control 84,000 methods. Only the eleven color schemes mentioned by Huyun are so complete and broad. For us, we are deeply attached to the color method, because it is visible, visible and right, so we bring it to the forefront to discuss, so that we can be alert and clearly realize that hue and vacuum are no different. So "the color is the same, the space is the same." This truth was expounded by Miao Huijue, and the profound Prajna practiced by Bodhisattva is complete and wonderful wisdom. This wonderful wisdom is like inaction, and it is better than mirror light. If mirror light and mirror shadow are used as metaphors, then the 94-color method and mental method are shadows, and the six inaction methods are mirror light. "Six kinds of inaction" are: empty inaction, choosing to destroy inaction, not choosing to destroy inaction, motionless inaction, thinking to destroy inaction and true inaction, among which true inaction is nirvana. The wisdom of inaction can perceive the initiation of the five aggregates and then illuminate them, so it can "see that the five aggregates are empty." If you don't practice, how can you know the truth and not cling to false knowledge? Without Miao zhi, you can't follow the empty color, and you can't have the effect of "all suffering". The color cluster doesn't look easy to break because there are as many as eleven. In fact, we don't break them one by one, as long as we know that everything is empty, and we don't count the differences, talk and think. Then, although colored, it is also a wonderful color without life, that is, "wonderful vacuum", that is, "color is empty, and empty is color"
