Queen Inhyeon's Character Image

His life is tortuous, and his integrity is noble. This is already a play, especially for Zhang, a jubilee that changes his destiny. The story of the fate entanglement between these two women has added a lot of legend to Li's court life in North Korea for hundreds of years.

In fact, there are not many records about Queen Inhyeon in the official history, and her appearance is mostly in formal public occasions, such as giving gifts. Even when it comes to him, he focuses on describing the attitudes and practices of Su Zong and courtiers, and rarely involves the behavior and thoughts of the princess, which is consistent with the standard of historians. Generally speaking, the official history of North Korea, A Record of Susong, does not describe Queen Inhyeon much, but it speaks highly of her, saying that she is a "virtuous princess" because of her generosity and forbearance. Of course, we should also see that the final version of Su Zongshi Lu was written by western rulers who always supported Queen Inhyeon and shared his joys and sorrows. On the contrary, it is doomed that the opposing southerners and Zhang Xipin will inevitably encounter "injustice" in their records.

On the one hand, their fame in later generations originated from their characters experience, but it was more due to unofficial history's novels, such as Biography and Xie Nanzheng. The novel Ren Zhuan was written very early, and it is generally believed that the manuscript appeared shortly after death. This book, together with Ugly Diary and Complaint Record, is a trilogy of Korean court novels. The original author of Ren Zhuan is unknown, but historians believe that the author should be a personal imperial secretary. The novel describes Queen Inhyeon's life and virtue, mainly describing Queen Inhyeon's unfortunate experience of marrying into the royal family, being framed and deposed by Zhang Xipin, and the bumpy process of his final restoration. The novel skillfully quotes many historical allusions, and successfully creates a gentle and virtuous image of Queen Inhyeon. In sharp contrast, Zhang Xipin is described as a born Uber, a shameless, narrow-minded and vicious woman, which shows the author's contempt for her. In addition, the hierarchical argument in the book is very obvious, but the origin of Zhang Xipin's maid has been deeply criticized by the author. Another shortcoming of the novel is that it ignores the complex political background inside and outside the Korean court, and at the same time it has obvious personal feelings.

The author of the novel "A Journey to the South" is an important figure in the West, Jin, who was demoted for opposing the abolition of Su Zong. Through the fictional stories of Liu, his wife and his concubine Qiao, the novel reproduces the emotional entanglements of Su, Liu and Qiao to express their dissatisfaction.

It is the wide spread of historical novels that makes Queen Inhyeon's perfect image deeply rooted in people's hearts. In the novel, she is compared to the ancient Queen E of China and is a model of traditional women. On the contrary, Jubilee's wife Zhang demonized da ji as a compliment. After being passed down from generation to generation, it has formed its own unique artistic image. But I'm afraid it's hard to care how much this differs from the real historical image of the characters. Just like the Romance of the Three Kingdoms, its success as a novel is self-evident, but the historical authenticity of its description should be treated with caution. Min is highly respected in later generations. On the one hand, her artistic image shines with all the excellent qualities of traditional women, setting an example for the society that advocates the Confucian idea of governing the country and calming the world. On the other hand, her story also caters to the general psychology that women want their husbands to respect their wives, and eventually the prodigal son will return and love will accompany them.
