Xinbajing, Xishan
1. Linghu Pincui
Go straight into the mountain gate, about half a mile away, and there is a beautiful artificial lake on the right. This is the Xishan Reservoir built in 1954, also known as Linghu Lake. The lake is rippling with blue waves, surrounded by green peaks, and the water and mountains complement each other, adding infinite scenery to Xishan. After passing the Jiuqu Bridge, you can reach Huxin Island. The island is lined with green trees and green boats float in the distance. There is a swimming pool on the west side of the lake. In midsummer, visitors can boat on the lake or swim in the blue waves. If you are tired from playing, you can have some refreshments and take a nap at the Linghu Teahouse by the lake.
2. The dangerous peak faces the sun.
The cliff to the right of Guanyin is strange, with a pavilion standing on the cliff, facing east. Photography enthusiasts like to take photos of the sunrise in the Western Mountains here, hence the name Chaoyang Pavilion. If you look at it from the railing, the scene is broad and spectacular, and it seems better than Longhua Temple. This is "Climbing the Dangerous Peak of the Sun in the New Landscape of the Western Mountains."
3. Hongqiao Dingquan
About 500 meters from One Step to the Sky, we can see a flying bridge with a figure-eight stone between the cliff and the dangerous road. , looks like a rainbow, also called Hongqiao. On Bridge. Looking down at the mountain, it looks like it's in the clouds. Beside the bridge, a trickle flows out from the cliff and merges into a clear spring, which is actually of the same origin as Ruquan.
4. Changxiahui County
About 100 meters above Hongqiao. The canyon is 40 meters long, with towering cliffs on both sides. There is a path in the middle that can only accommodate one person. In the middle of the canyon, the wind was blowing and I could only see the blue sky and lines, so it was also called the Sky Line. According to folklore, people with fate can often meet gods here. On the rock wall at the southern entrance of Long Gorge, there are three large characters inscribed by Master Kuan Neng: Fairy Gorge. It turns out that Huixian Gorge is also called Fairy Gorge.
5. Looking at the sun in Longting.
Standing on the cliff below Huixian Gorge is a two-story hexagonal pavilion. The eaves and ridges are decorated with six dragons, ready to fly and showing extraordinary momentum. This is the highest point of Xishan Scenic Area. When you board the plane here, you can enjoy the view of the Dragon Court and the sun: at the end of the river, there is chaos, gradually brightening from darkness, showing bright light; in an instant, the rising sun spurts out like a ball of fire. , rising slowly; then the golden light shines on the three rivers of Xunxun, Guizhou and Chongqing. Waking up from a deep sleep, the earth is filled with pastoral fields, full of life and atmosphere.
6. The plank road is decorated with blue.
Slowly go down the mountain from Longting and walk along a 300-meter-long plank road along the mountain. The plank road winds down the cliff, and the cement-paved stone steps are about 1 meter wide, with railings beside them. Due to the higher terrain, visitors walking on it will have a sense of adventure without having to worry about its risks. Looking from the plank road, you can see the mighty three rivers and the boundless land, which is a unique scenery.
7. Listening to Tao
After walking along the plank road and passing through the dense jungle, you can go to Tinggexuan. The pine forests here are like the sea, and the mountain wind blows, making waves, like sand blowing on the ground, like rain in the valley at night, like the sea tide, like tigers howling in the mountains. There is a poem by our predecessors that describes this scene: Suddenly a couch was lying high On the top of the mountain, I am familiar with the roar of tigers in my dream, see thousands of trees swaying, and strong winds blowing waves.
8. Lianxi Waterfall
Go north from Tingsongxuan, go down the stone steps for about fifty or sixty meters, and you will arrive at Lianxi Waterfall, formerly known as Catfish Creek. Zhou Dunyi (a native of Lianxi), a Neo-Confucian scholar in the Northern Song Dynasty, once came to Guiping to give lectures and often traveled to Xishan. Later generations named the creek after him. Lianxi flows all year round, and the water falls according to the mountain. If the mountain spring is steep and long after the rain, and the silver light flows, it looks like a white line hanging high from a distance, but also looks like a green sea and green smoke.
